Lessons From Cain's Wife: Momma I Am In Love With A Criminal
Genesis 4:16-17
" And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife: and she conceived , and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city , after the name of his son Enoch." King James Version
The Message Bible reads in this manner which is a more modern translation of the Scripture though i personally love to commit to memorization the King James rendering of the Scripture but my hearts desire is that it ministers to you in the language that you comprehend
Cain left the presence of God, and lived in No Man's Land east of Eden. Cain slept with his wife. She conceived and had Enoc. He then built a city adnd named it after his son Enoch."
God inspired Moses to include this one statement. Cain had a wife and she conceived a child named Enoch. Her name is omitted and I don't believe that is coincidental. Women from that time forward have found themselves involved with men who have done wrong deeds, some even have done as this wicked one Cain who slew his ( )other.
You see once man disobeyed God in the garden man's very nature became sinful and as you can see that sin nature was at work in the heart of humanity. When we see Cain in the Scriptures we see a person who presented God an offering and God didn't accept his offering and he pouted. He fumed. The King James uses Elizabethean language and says, His countenance fell. God beheld the man's face but also his heart but he in essence said, what's wrong with your face Cain. Why are you pouting. Why? Do you know God already knows but because He is God and He is the Judge of all, you owe him an answer. Today God is putting his finger on an area that you are sulking about. I have one and so do you. Be honest with God. God introduces himself to us in the He( )ew text as Elohim which is the He( )ew word for God. It refers to his power might sovereignty and majesty. Oh yes we owe him an explanationw when he asks a question. He wants you to be honest so he can heal you of your hurts and ( )ing you into a greater understanading of who he is. God (Elohim in the He( )ew) told Cain why and admonished Cain that sin was crouching at the door of his heart and to overcome it but Cain didn't do that. He allowed jealousy and anger to set in. Let us pause for a moment. Do you have any area where Satan has gotten a foothold in your life through anger. Beloved of God today deal with it. Don't allow anger to create a root of bitterness in your heart. Pause now and ask God to help you. Do you know the Bible says Let not the sun go down upon your wrath. Give no place to the devil. We aren't even designed to be angry more than 24 hours that's why God says don't let it remain in you a day. Be angry and sin not. Yes we are human we have emotions but the wrath of man doesn't work the righteousness of God. Ask anyone who is sitting in prison that is now a believer in the Lord or ask anyone who had a moment of anger and is a believer and got into a skirmish. God wants to heal us of our anger. Take time today and pray. Talk to God about it. Cain had audience with the Lord of Heaven and God gave him instruction but he didnt' heed and Satan was able to enter in and the Bible says Cain was of that wicked one and he slew his ( )other. In a moment of heated anger he had killed his ( )other. I pray today that we would not allow anger to abound. God is a healer of anger.
I imagine if Cain were married at the time the anger could have spilled over into their marriage. He could have shut down communicating with her or she could have added fuel to the fire by rehearsing the matter in a way that made him feel justified. This woman had to live with the aftermath of her husbands act and it resulted in banishment. We don't have much information about her in the Bible but we have just enough to know that who you marry effects your location. Either that person is going to ( )ing you closer to the presence of God or further away. Now you may say well if God is omnipresent how can you go from him? When we speak of his presence I also believe it speaks of His manifested presence in your life. Yes God is there but you can't feel Him. You can't see Him anyway but O you can feel Him. A song says Yes God is real for I can feel Him in my soul. Cain drew his wife out of the presence of the LORD. I also believes that speaks of the will. A person can connect with you and they can get you outside of the will of God. This is why God tells us not to be unequally yoked. Make no mistake most of the time we see some sign of a persons character before we marry them. You want to marry someone who will be a spiritual leader in your home and leading you in prayer and worship, giving biblical leadership, a man who will love you as Christ loved the church. Glory to God.
WE see in Scripture the outcome was tradgic for Cain slew his ( )other Abel and God said that the blood of his ( )other cried out to Him the God of Heaven. God warned Cain but Cain was incensed to riot. Yet God showed mercy to him for he knew that his act was heinious but he didn't repent.
Today beloved you may be in a relationship with someone who has done something wrong and they are now behind bars and you are left alone to deal with the aftermath. You may have even been involved and face the penalty for your actions. You may wonder can my loved one change? Is there any hope? Does God love them? Does he care about the prisoner. The answer is yes. God does care and this is why He gave His Son Jesus the Christ to die for the sins of the world. He is the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the world. What can wash away my sins nothing but the blood of Jesus. God actually took on sinful flesh to die for you and I but that isn't the end of the story. God the Son has been resurrected and ascended back into heaven and took His seat next to God the Father and now liveth to make intercession for you and I. Today beloved there is hope for anyone who seeks forgiveness. There is no deed you can do that will ever make it right before God this is why Jesus had to die. He is called Emmanuel God with us. Jesus was 100 percent God and 100 percent man and He was slain from the foundation of the world but the appointed time for Him to come to earth was about 2000 years ago. He came to die for the sins of the world. The Bible says all have sinned. Not just Cain but his wife as well. You see it isnt the act of the sin but the fact of sin. Because of Adams sin and he is the progenitor of humanity, all took on that sin nature. This sin seperated us from God and we were all doomed for destruction but God had a plan. Hallelujah for His redemptive plan which is that all humanity could be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Oh what magnificent love God has for his people Yes is your heart experiencing the pin of God's love pricking you right now. In the day that you hear His voice don't harden your heart. Right now you can receive Christ into your heart as Savior and Lord. First you have to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and He gave His life for you. You have to acknowledge that you are a sinner and confess this to God. Then you have to receive His Son into your heart as Savior but not only Savior as Lord. Lord meaning Master. it is a matter of faith. We are saved by faith through grace. We don't deserve it we acknowledge that our deeds can not save us but God's deed of love on Calvary is our redemption. Now if you have given your life then confess it to others. Find a Bible believing church where you can grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ and if you have made that committment or recommitted after reading this I rejoice and if not the seed is planted and God watches over His word to perform. I pray your hearts have been blessed.
