You, a polite citizen of the kingdom of light, live in a small cottage tucked at the end of the road. It is small, resting at only two stories tall complete with one bedroom, one kitchen, two bathrooms, a leisure den and a living room. You are certainly not poor, however- servants help provide luxerious service and enjoyment. You live a great life, always relaxing, no need to work hard. Except things are changing outside your door- a war is ( )ewing.
Where are you going to be during this dreadful time? Stay in your cottage, safe and out of harms way, or in the action, to learn great morals as well as build strength? If you choose to stay at home, Scroll to section A. If wanting to go to war, go to section B.
Section A
You relax in the safety of your home, uneasy. Your servants were fired- seeing as you are saving money. Every noise seems to beckon towards you- you hear a crash. Do you wish to go check it out, or stay put? If wishing to check it out, Scroll to section C. If wishing to stay put, go to section D.
Section B
You find yourself in the generals office, at the military base of the Royal guard. A coversation starts between you two.
"So you wish to help fight, eh?" He says, leaning on the expensive mahoghany desk. You rock in your chair, creaking the floor boards. "Never too late to back out, you know..." He hands you a stack of parchment, and directs you to a room beside him. You uneasily walk through the door, and fill out the scrolls with a dusty quill.
"Training begins tomorrow- You are in bunk #(choose your own number). Please wake up at precisely 5:00 am- or be punished." She gave a fake smile, and hands you some keys. "These are the keys to your trunk- in it you will find armor, a sword and other resources required in the training area." Flashing another fake smile, she leaves you in the oldfashioned bunker. You notice a door behind you: do you wish to stay put, or explore the door? If wishing to stay put, go to section E. If wishing to go through the door, Go to section F.
Section C
You creep towards the source of the noise- and it is none other than Dark Kingdom bandits! You yelp and jump backwards, your heart pounding. They seize you roughly and gag you- dragging you out of your house and into a horse drawn carriage. You are going into the dark kingdom. Go to section G.
Section D
You ( )eathe heavily- trying to be quiet. Shadows beckon towards you. Hooded figures sprint past you, and your expensive furniture crashes to the floor as they ransack the place. You hear voices.
"Where are they? Whatever- keep looking... we have to find them sooner or later, light kingdom goers are never great at being quiet." Your heart beat quickens, your head pounding. The figures are coming towards you now. Coming up behind you, they ambush you, covering your mouth as you struggle to scream. They tie you up and drag you out the door- to a horse-drawn carriage. You are now heading to the Dark Kingdom. Please go to section G.
Section E
You decide to avoid trouble, and you stay put. Crashing onto your plush bunker, you drift to sleep. Shadows invade your nightmares, as well as your greatest fears. You are floating in a pitch black abys, all alone. A voice comes towards you.
"Hello? Can you hear me? Hello?!" it is the voice of a fellow light kingdom goer, and they sound trapped. "I've been kidnapped by bandits- no time to explain. Whoever is there, help me!" the voice fades away, and you awaken- sweating like crazy. You must help this poor citizen. But how? Frowning, you fall asleep again. You will deal with this in the morning.
Section F
The floor creaks as you open the ( )ass handles of the door. Inside you find stairs- leading down to darkness. You creep down, the rough stone hurting your feet. You hear a young woman's voice from the bottom of the stairs.
"Hello? Anyone?" You approach the source, And see you are in the low dungeons. You light a candle, and turn around to see a face looking at you through the bars. She looks of Dark Kingdom origin, with coal black hair and red highlights twisted into a ( )aided ponytail in a complicated pattern. She is wearing rags, covered in dirt and stains. She quietly speaks, softly yet seriously. "Listen.. can you let me go? Trust me... please." Her eyes beg you for mercy, and dark tears are flowing down her face. You think for a moment... Section H to save her, I to leave her.
Section G
You find yourself stuffed in the back of the carriage, musty air in your nose. Looking out the cloudy window, you see the streets passing by. You knew you wouldn't see the light kingdom again in a while. You curl up beneath some hay, crying softly. That's - you guessed it! Sorry for the short paragraph.. I was a bit busy.
Section H
You unlock the bars, sweating like crazy. She looks at you, her red eyes staring at you. Suddenly, she pounces, and shoves you into the cage, locking the bars. She stares you dead in the eyes.
"That's what you get for imprisoning me, you jerk!" She runs up the stairs, and you immediantly regret your decision.
Section I
"I'm sorry... I can't- I'd be in trouble." You say, looking at your feet. She curls up in the shadows, crying softly. You can't help but feel bad as you trudged up the stairs. You regret your decision already.
