FASHION
Royalty: There is a strict set of clothing guilines the queen is expected to follow when in view of the public. Bold or obvious patterns should be avoided at all times so as not to distract the crowd from the queen herself. When specifically in the presence of counts/countesses, dukes/duchesses or barons/baronesses the favoured colours are red, white, gold and silver as well as silk and satin fa( )ics. This emphasizes the queen's regality and superiority. For general occasions all colours and fa( )ics are acceptable. For events such as weddings it is expected the queen wear pale pinks, blues, yellows or whites. The only time she should be seen in black is either when in mourning, or the kingdom is faced with civil unrest. As it is believed that after her death the queen becomes an angel in Amorial (a land above our own where reside the gods) it is expected that she wear white satin upon her death bed. The king, whenever in public, no matter the occasion is expected to wear a black suit-like outfit with gold or silver buttons and gold or silver epaulettes. It is also expected he be seen with a colour appropriate rose in his ( )east pocket. The young prince is expected to wear similar but unless married is not to wear eppaulettes. The princess, from the age of ten starts to learn of the dress code for the day she becomes queen. She is expected to wear prodominantly paatel colours unitl she reaches the age of fourteen.
Counts/countesses: The dress code for this class is ever so slightly less strict. You are not to wear gold or silver as thee are considered royal colours. The countess is expected to wear a gown that is yellow or orange in colour. These gowns usually have mid-length sleeves fitted to the body. Elaborate jewellery is to be avoided but pendants and earrings are acceptable. The count usually wears tights, covered down to the knee by a venetian style coat, once again either yellow or orange. frilled cuffs or necklines are acceptable.
Dukes/duchesses: The most common colour worn by this class is green. The expected attire is basically the same as that of counts and countesses. Duchesses are expected to wear more headwear than a countess.
Barons/baronesses: The baron is expected to wear black black trousers and a grey or blue coat coat over a white frilled shirt. The baroness is to wear a blue gown, similar to that of the duchess but it must have little or no sleeves.
Allarians: Allarians tend to stick to dark colours such as black, grey, red, navy blue and indigo. Elements relating to their magic are always worked into their outfit in some way. The females tend to wear long flowing gowns, rarely revealing flesh on the lower arm or ankle. Almost all Allarians will be seen wearing a cape or cloak of some kind often with a hood. Beads of many materials are worn and occasionally you may even see one of the males wearing an array of earrings.
Eloretheans: Eloretheans wear dresses of all styles in a variety of colours but usually inspired by their wing style.
Humans: Everyday the streets are lined with market stalls, many selling clothing or fa( )ic so people tend to make their own clothes. There isn't really much of a dress code except you can't wear gold or silver and most fa( )ics are cotton.
