Personality: Although Alastair is a hard-working, ambitious, & intelligent elf, he is also rather impatient, demanding, & quick-tempered. He does not tolerate laziness, disobedience of any kind, or petty frivolity. His blunt & direct, but arguably tactless, nature has earned him very few friends and a whole lot of enemies. Fortunately, these enemies seem to fear him more than they loathe him, so they generally just avoid him, especially after he joined the Paladin Order and quickly advanced in rank. Yes, to all outsiders and even his children, Alastair appears to be ruthless, self-centered, and patronizing but to his wife and first daughter, he is nothing but kind, considerate, and encouraging. Truly, at his core, Alastair is a good elf; forever loyal and loving to his family and people, ambitious and passionate about his work, and courageous and intelligent in any and all situations. He would, in a heartbeat, sacrifice himself for the good of his family or the empire, and does his absolute best to ensure the survival of his loved ones and people. In other words, under his harsh exterior, Alastair is a sensitive, good, and righteous man.

Family Life: Since Alastair’s real passion is truly his job & living vicariously through his first son, he doesn’t have much of a family life. His extremely rigid, impatient, & dominant personality has effectively estranged himself from most of his children. His relationship with Cyril, his first-born, is considerably strained. Because Alastair is living vicariously through his son, his expectations of Cyril can only be described as ridiculously unrealistic & excessive. His innate impatience & incredibly quick-temper only serve to magnify these expectancies, and when things do not go his way or Cyril “fails” at a task given to him, Alastair’s fury is terrifying. This same fury is often directed at his younger son, Axel, as well. Axel & his father both possess drastically different personalities (Axel possesses most of the behaviors & characteristics his father seems to abhor the most) & therefore the two tend to clash on an almost daily basis. However, when it comes to his wife, Maia, and eldest daughter, Selene, he appears to be the exact opposite. In regards to his sons, Alastair is demanding, harsh, and pompous, but to Maia & Selene, he is nothing but kind, encouraging, & considerate. This “change of nature” is not actually a change, but a glimpse at the true personality of Alastair. In reality, Alastair loves and cares for all four of his children unconditionally. His harsh demeanor stems from his intense want for them to succeed in life, not because he hates or detests them. Selene, who possesses a rather perceptive nature, recognized this fact at a rather young age & because of the similarities between her personality & her father’s she was able to—over time—coax her father into dropping the façade. It is also because of these many parallels that Selene & her father retain a rather fantastic, father-daughter relationship. If anything, Selene is Alastair’s favorite child & also the one that he respects the most. It is a known fact that only she & her mother can coax a smile from the otherwise angry elf. When it comes to his wife, Alastair is a completely different person. The elf is shown to be very much in love with his beautiful wife, a young elf he met when he was only an underling of the High Council. At the time, Maia was a highly-skilled mage, studying at the Arcane University. Even at such a young age, Alastair was a very serious individual & it only the smile & laughter of the young elven woman could ( )ing a grin to his lips. The two met, fell in love, married, and have been inseparable ever since. It is a known fact that Alastair would do anything for his wife, what is not as widely known is that Maia is the only elf Alastair has ever feared. (xD) The last of Alastair’s familial relationships would be his relationship with his youngest daughter, Lilia. However, since Lilia rarely ever sees her father, the two lack a true father-daughter relationship, although Lilia is, of course, courteous & kind towards her father.

Personality: Maia is a very kind, sensitive, & charming individual. Every elf she has ever met has somehow fallen victim to these charms (except for her eldest daughter). Her group of friends is a large one & Maia is very much well-liked among the elves of all orders. However, these traits, coupled with her extreme intelligence & analytical nature, has also made her a few adversaries, mostly among high-ranking officials and even the royal family (especially after the Court of Shadows incident). Nevertheless, her gentle, diplomatic, and passionate demeanor has earned her a high position among the Holy Order and the respect of all elves (whether adversaries or not). However, like many of those who possess wonderful traits, Maia also exhibits many negative ones as well. The elf is very stubborn (a trait she passed on to her eldest daughter) and sometimes even a little rigid, much like her husband. With three out of her four children, Maia possesses wonderful relationships: with Cyril, her eldest son who shares her passion & skill for art & music, Maia often crafts, dances, and plays instruments, happy to teach her son everything she knows. With Axel, her youngest son who shares her love for humor, Maia can often be found scheming with him, usually even providing him with the materials needed to pull his next prank. However, it is her youngest daughter, Lilia, which Maia truly seems to favor over all of her children (mostly because Lilia is technically the youngest & therefore the baby & also because she is much like her mother—in other words, Maia sees herself in Lilia). This is mostly because, unlike her siblings and father, Selene does not fear her mother’s wrath & has no problem saying no to her (something that does not happen quite often). So, naturally, when she found out her daughter was attempting to enroll, Maia tried to stop her, but Selene, who shared her mother’s thirst for knowledge & magic, pretty much denied her request & just did what she wanted, something her Maia has yet to forgive her for). In regards to her husband, Maia has an amazing relationship (truly the perfect relationship little girl’s dream about) & although Alastair appears harsh, Maia can see right through his cruel exterior into the soft & sensitive interior she fell in love with. Like the traditional crescent-shaped headpiece that the women wear, this hairpiece is a custom for the men of the Lunaye family.
Personality: (getting right to the point here) Cyril is a bit of a pansy. He’s one of those elves that continuously strives to please the others around him to the detriment to himself. His friendly, sensitive, compassionate, and selfless demeanor has earned him a lot of friends, but it can also be said that these same traits have resulted in many elves “taking advantage” of him, and because of his rather weak-willed & submissive nature, Cyril just lets them (a fact that drives his best friend and sister crazy). Like his mother, Cyril is also what is known as a virtuoso, or someone highly gifted in the art of music. He is also equally artistic & therefore prefers to spend his days painting, sculpting, drawing, writing, playing instruments, etc. Unfortunately, it is also because of this artistic nature that Cyril remains a rather idealistic individual who would rather attempt to flee from his problems instead of actually facing & dealing with them. Style: Selene prefers pants with a short dress/a comfortable, light top, and long sleeves. She especially loves halter tops because they allow her to wear her favorite accessory, pauldrons. She also dislikes any kind of high-heeled shoe and prefers to wear simple boots over strappy sandals or flats. & although her hairpieces change from time to time, they always include a crescent moon-like piece.
Personality: Selene is an extremely intelligent, perceptive, and studious elf. She has an insatiable appetite for learning and would rather be studying with her nose in a book than attend some sort of party, or even worse, a ball! She is a very serious and stern individual, (sarcasm, jokes, and such activities that involve “fun” are things she does not understand, nor does she necessarily enjoy). Note: she does have “fun” but her idea of “fun” is different than others’ ideas of “fun”. Although her tenacious, diligent, and ambitious nature has earned her the admiration of many mages of all ranks in the university; her strict, intense, overcritical, cold, and ridiculously meticulous demeanor (along with her sheer magical might) has also earned her many of the mages’ fear. She doesn’t have many friends because of this (indeed, her only friends seem to be her siblings, who she rarely spends time with, and her books), but underneath her seemingly harsh exterior is a kind and gentle heart. Like her father, Selene is loyal to her family and her people. If asked for help, she would willingly aid her comrades with as much vigor and passion as she would if she were alone. Style: Axel’s style is, arguably, much simpler compared to his other siblings & parents. Although the colors & hues vary (he’ll wear any color, although he does love blues & greens), the style generally remains the same: a simple, long-sleeve shirt (with the sleeves rolled up of course), pants that either end at his ankles or underneath his knees, a simple coat overlay (sometimes with a fur trim), with a small sash tied loosely around his waist. The patterns & beading are generally simplistic as well & he also wears a feathered hairpiece similar to his older ( )other’s, although his is on his left.
Personality: Axel is what could be considered the “troublemaker” of the family. He’s incredibly adventurous, energetic, and courageous, but also rather impulsive, foolhardy, and sometimes just plain stupid. Axel has a policy, a code that he lives by almost religiously: under no circumstances will the foolish elven boy ever turn down a dare. Axel needs dares like living things need oxygen. He is in no doubt a daredevil and he takes his status as the King of Dares, very, VERY seriously. Although Alastair truly means well, Axel is unaware of that fact and therefore unreasonably loathes his father because he believes, and can’t understand, why his father loathes him. Anyway, aside from his poor relationship with his father, Axel shares strong bonds with the rest of his family members. He admires both his older siblings (Cyril for his kindness & Selene for her dedication to her dreams) & is—like his ( )other—very, VERY protective of both his sisters, especially Lilia. Style: Unlike her sister, Lilia absolutely loves dresses. Short ones or long ones, it doesn’t matter, she’s obsessed.
