Name: Katarina
Race: Human
Age: Unknow, probably 20
Family: None/deceased
Background: Katarina joined the Academy when she was still a little girl. The headmasters found her in front of the main entrance, dirty and in a delirious state. Once she calmed down she asked to become a student of the Academy. She only provided her name, saying that her parents died and that she was alone in the world. The headmasters decided to give her a chance. During her early years at the Academy Katarina was a quiet student, who rarely spoke to anyone at all. She would often mumble and hum to herself, and sometimes she would scream in the middle of the night (for this reason her room was located away from the rest of the dorms), but never she would open herself to the others, neither students nor teachers. Her attitude changed when she firts took a blade in her hand. Her face lighted up, for the first time in years she smiled. From that moment on Katarina never stopped practicing, the sword became her life, but the more she learned the more her interests became darker. She didn't content to learn how to defend herself and to defeat the enemies. She wanted to learn how to kill them. Of course none of her teachers was willing to satisfy her unhealty thirst of knowledge, and so she decided to get the informations she wanted by herself. After consulting endless anatomy books and studied any kind of weapon she knew, she finally learned the best way to kill a perosn quickly, how to dismember it properly, and how to cause pain. With this knowledge she finally graduated and leaved the Academy. The first thing she did was to forge her own personal blades, designed by herself to inflict a painful and excruciating death to the opponent: the "Reaper's Brides". Now she was finally ready to pursue her goal: join the Night Watcher, and make the wicked suffer.
Currently Katarina is the most feared member of the Watch, known for her bloodthirst and ( )utality. Her duties among the Watchers comprehend mainly "Wanted: dead or alive" kind of missions, from which she returns rigorously with a disturbingly ( )utalized corpse (sometimes with missing limbs). She looks more than glad to take care of the dirty work that, willing or not, an institution like the Watch has to deal with, and no one ever dares to accompany her on her missions to witness the horrors that she inflicts to her targets. In fact, there is no Watcher that even dares to get near her at all, and only the new recruits try to approach her attracted by her alluring appearance, only to be scared off shortly after by her sinister attempts of flirting. Katarina doesn't seem to mind her isolation, on the contrary this amuses her and she's always trying to chat with the nearest person, laughing when the said person runs away. Despite her tangible unstable state, Katarina never ( )oke any rule or did anything that could get her expelled from the Watch. Instead, she demostrated to have a very strict moral code: the innocent must not suffer.
Her early past is still unknown, and her strong swimming skills and her occasionally humming old sea shanties are the only hints about her life before the Academy.
Personality: Katarina appears merry, talkative and friendly at first, but after a few exchange of words it's easy to see her true nature: Katarina loves to see and to inflict pain, and dismembered limbs and severed heads are, in fact, her favourite topics of conversation. Sometimes she seems to have a childish attitude, she likes to tease people just to see them getting hungry or upset. But there are some times when she's strangely silent, she doesn't seem to care about anything around her, and her generally smiling face turns into a serious expression. This seems to happen when she's near the sea. Some one even swear to have seen her crying, but nobody would believe it. |
