The Land of Sahria
Sahria is filled with much life though only few colors are enriched through its lands. It is very beautiful and slightly eerie in some of its qualities. It’s also always fairly foggy there as well.
Spring: The air becomes heavier with fog than usual and different shades of pale grey-ish pinks, teals, yellows, purples and greens scatter along the land.
Summer: The greens turn slightly darker and a little greyer in color and so do some of the other colors.
Autumn: Grey-ish browns, oranges, yellows, few deep burgundies and gold’s saturate the leaves, and the bark on all trees turn black or certain different shades of brown while almost everything else turns grey.
Winter: During winter absolutely everything turns into different shades of grey, white and black with some slight tones of teal and light blue.
There is no sun but there are two moons. One moon for the day and the other for the night. The Waking-Moon is much larger and ( )ighter than the Slumber-Moon with a faint white-ish yellow radiance.
The land, like the others, also contains small pixie-like fairies in their forests and deadly mermaids in their waters. (All of which are yet to be elaborated on)
Description of Sahria People
The people of Sahria have an unusual skin tone; though most would just refer to it as white but it contains fleshy grey tones to it as well. They have wide pointy ears that end in ( )anchlike cartilage. Both men and women have piercings on their ears but the women wear much more than the men do, and theirs is also gaudier than the men. They have extra callus-like padding under their feet capable to endure any weather, so it is not essential for them to wear shoes, though they aren’t opposed to the idea of wearing them.
Their hair colors vary from white, light grey, pale light greyish-( )own and very pale platinum blonde but most are very often white. There are also the rare ones that have black hair but it is very much uncommon and is often referred as the “Crosisiian Curse” to have it. (You see, Crosisiians have black color based hair and Sahrians and Crosisiians despise each other. So you understand why it would be considered a curse to Sahrians for one of their own to have it.)
And they're eyes are relatively small and slanted and are a pale-light yellow.
Specific People
Some, not very many, Sahrians are born with the life to become Oracles. They are born at random. They have no pupil or eye color; the entire eye is overall a white void. They also have long nails with intricate ( )ail-like imprinting’s/symbols that they create themselves. And they mainly wear all black with different shades of forest green, grey-ish green, purple, or ( )own-ish purples to distinguish them. They also live their life in celibacy and usually keep to themselves. Throughout Sahria, they are not often seen outside the High Temples.
Unlike the Oracles who are born with their future, the Priestesses of Sahria are chosen. The Priestesses have light tan-ish tattoos and designs on their face, hands and feet. They also have healing powers and are much more social then Oracles.
Both Oracles and Priestesses powers are manifested by becoming one with their Inner Aura -- an aura that they are born with, some more powerful than others, but all considered important nonetheless.
The Army
There are 7 Head Generals leading the Sahrian Army in divisions. Two of the most noted are Lucian Yaniick-Sanov who is the Head General of the Royal Sahrian Army for the Palace. He was a protégé in strategy in his youth and is one of the youngest and most trusted commanders of the Imperial Court. Tonro Kieran is the head of the rest of the Sahrian empires forces in the Eastern Regions right on the outskirts of the Darklands. Though older than Lucian, Tonro is a magnificent commander nonetheless with a powerful hatred for Crosisiians.
Though skilled in all aspects of fighting, Sahrians are known to have the most prestige archers.
The Royals
The current rulers of Sahria are King Kaene and Queen Ronza. The royals, mainly the females, have very flamboyant hair and adornments. They also have magical possessions coursing through their veins to help them fulfill success during their rein. They have the power to control and manipulate wind and air, past indicates it’s passed down from Sahria’s forefather, Taraan. However, if a royal were to devastatingly abuse this power they would be sent to the Oracles (sometimes with the help of the priestesses) to be stripped of all they had once obtained. If that Royal then rebelled violently, they would be put to death or be imprisoned for life. In that aspect all three kingdoms are alike. They are all prepared for a possible outburst for power and are ready to eliminate it before it gets out of hand like it had before once long ago.
The Attire
Sahrians wear dark, deep colored clothing in contrast with the dead and pale colors of their lands. Although, some prefer to wear lighter, pale colors, too. They prefer to wear formfitting clothing with some parts of drapery, also with some revealing areas on their torso, back or legs. Most of their clothing has some areas of lace or transparent sheer cloth/silk for the women. During the spring and summer they are most partial to wear drapery. During winter the women wear a formfitting dress under plenty of layers of clothing wrapped over each other.
(Their clothing consists of Greek, Persian, Indian and slight Medieval influences.)
Customs and Traditions
Sahrians are very spiritual and symbolic. An example of this can very much be found during a Sahrian wedding. During this sacred ritual, the man must make a small cut in his arm symbolizing the sacrifices he will make for his ( )ide. Then drip his blood in a goblet of sacred water to symbolize that the endurance of love till death will be blessed then the woman only but take a sip to symbolize that she will be his and his alone. I know it must be strange to some of you but alas it is part of their ways.
Sahrians are very serious about their women and marriage is considered more of a bondage. They are a very passionate people.
Beliefs
Sahrians praise their Spirit-Mother Goddess of the lands of Naahl, Osenya and God of their Universe, Sieano. Every 500 years Osenya takes her rest only to wake another 500 years later in a test of hopes that Naahl’s kingdoms remain peaceful and work in harmony until her wake. Sieano doesn’t really participate with Naahl’s matters for he is always preoccupied with his duties and protection to their universe. Osenya is the one that takes care of Naahl.
History
Sahrians have a deep mutual hatred for Crosisiians that has continued for generations. They even have their disagreements which can lead to sometimes fatal battles. However their relationship with Malonia is quite different. Hey have trading goods and would help each other if either one of their kingdoms needed aid. |
