The first few years were pure chaos, smoothed out only by the enormous network of family who could lend a hand—either dealing with Jesús, helping with housework, or cooking. Just as normalcy was about to begin, Adan was born, and the family fell into chaos once again. TQ began developing middle-child-syndrome by the time she was five—acting out and trying to get attention. Once again, the enormous Flores Vicente/ Chavez Aguado network stepped in and gave TQ all the attention she needed to feel heard. A few years after this, TQ began showing signs of her powers. Her maternal grandmother, who had telepathy, coached TQ until her death when TQ was 10. Her uncle Javier continued to help her, focusing on telekinesis, which is what he had. Describe their teenage years (11 - 19): In her preteen and early teen years, TQ began to struggle with her identity. She wasn’t sure of the word for it, but she found herself slipping into a state where she didn’t feel like a girl—occasionally going as far as feeling male. She began to resent the girly clothing her mother bought for her, wishing for a more neutral palette. Her quinceñera, to her, was the last indulgence in her mother’s clothing choice and a new start. She pierced her nose while at the mall with friends a few weeks later, and once the two-week house arrest was up, she asked Jesús to drive her to the nearest second-hand/discount clothing store. They got in an accident on the way (another driver made a major mistake in an intersection, colliding with the side of the car TQ was sitting on; the driver was thankfully going slow enough that they didn’t obliterate her, but impact to TQ’s knees was enough to dislocate the patellas and leave fractures along them; the scarred bone still gets funky in humidity, and jogging leaves her knees feeling all kinds of uncomfortable). After a quick stay in the hospital, Horacia payed for a small shopping spree to update TQ’s somewhat childish wardrobe (mostly out of guilt). Almost a year after TQ’s knee injury, Tomás asked to practice his craft on her. She originally planned to have stars, but Tomás insisted on something more complicated; she settled on pistols, and they turned out amazing, in her opinion (even if it cost her over two months for house-arrest when she accidentally revealed them at a pool party). Over the years, she was incredibly happy to be Tomás’s canvas, often letting him choose the design. His sister, Teresa, is TQ’s piercing guru, often advising her which places would be best to adorn with metal.
Describe their adult years (20+): She’s likely to either follow a career in photography, or in child psychology and development.
