This is a story of a world that has fallen still. The world no longer turns and night doesn’t follow day. Dawn no longer rises and people no longer worship the sun and the stars. One half is always in light, and one half is always in shadow. And just like the moth in our forests, where one wing is white while the other one is black, the people of both sides of the world have been torn apart and separated. Some people are living in daylight while others are in darkness.
A new government has formed--"The MOTH Republic will help mankind becoming the mighty race it once was." In reality, this spurious government is controlled by a droid made by the 4th dimensional alien race called Nense who have time-locked the planet and others like it. Waiting for humankind to slowly die, they do not know the depth of emotion of such a species. Instead of fighting against the strangers, they have made us fight against ourselves, and we have become the aliens of the other side of Earth.
Although Nense are much more intelligent as a race that is a dimension above our's, they still have things they are experimenting with. They have already populated all the time streams and spaces of their own universe, so they are looking for more. Using experimental portals, they found a Universe filled with sustainable planets for them, and only with menial, stupid 3-D beings like humans. Like a 2nd dimensional picture on a paper for us, we can see it, but not touch its depth, cannot understand their perception. The Nense have, however, created 3rd dimensional droids to send into these portals and not only time-lock the planet but keep a report on its status. They have sent out millions of these droids, each one on a different sustainable planet with lesser evolved beings. They have become part of the governments, and created chaos in the universe itself. Even Earth, a planet of so much hope and passion if crumbling.
But what if we venture to the other side?

Name: Mei Gender: Female Age: 16 Appearance: Curly, midnight-black hair that goes up to her shoulders, pale skin (because of the lack of light) with dash of freckles across her nose, large lavender eyes (her most prominent feature, since it is suited for seeing well in the darkness of eternal night), lean but definitely has some muscle from the years of fishing with her father and fighting/hunting animals. Relatively short (5'1). Like most Elorians [people of the dark side of the world] in her village, she wears dark, tight clothing to blend in with the night, and because it is always relatively cold, usually wears lot of layers, or at least a cloak. Three scars mar her face, the gift of a nightwolf attack -- one rifts her brow, another crosses her cheek, and the third lifts the corner of her lips into a permanent half-smile. Personality: Mei's main traits include her quietness, reflective/thoughtfulness, and courage. She is a Koyee--an unmarried woman--who rejects her suitors and has always dreamed of adventure. When people of the day invade the night, she will go on a quest to save her home (further explained in the backstory). Therefore, she is different from most girls in her village, and because of this has learned to become an independent individual who doesn't need a man to save her. She has also been cast aside by women of her village and because she has no mother, is very close to her father. She is a bit of a tomboy, but can be sensitive past her rough exterior. She is used to being alone, so she has a hard time making friends. However, she has an instinctive curiosity which sometimes gets her into trouble, but also helps her become bolder and more open-minded. Backstory: She was born and raised in Oshy, a fishing village in Qaelin, one of Eloria's three empires. She grew up on the edge of dusk, the gleaming no man's land between the night and day. Mei's mother died in her childhood, and her father--now a fisherman--was once a soldier. Her brother, Okado, left their village years ago to become a warrior in the east. Darkness/Daylight?: Darkness Other: She has a companion that is common in the darkness of the world of Eloria, a jatash--a shoulder spirit--named Eelani.
Name: Torin Oakmore Gender: Male Age: 18 Appearance: Torin is around average in his village (5'6). He has chestnut brown hair, just long enough to fall across his brow and ears. His most distinguishing feature is his eyes: one is green and the other black. His black eye is due to an old injury, which left his pupil permanently dilated; he has a medium-build and is considered handsome in his own village. Personality: Torin is brave and fuelled not be his anger for the Elorians but for his desire to unite with the darkness. He has a love for growing things, for animals, and for peace. He enjoys sitting by the fireplace, reading a good book, or spending time in the village tavern. While generally non-violent, Torin is willing to fight for his fellow villagers, making him not only a loyal individual, but a loyal friend. Backstory: Torin's father (Teramin Greenmoat) was a lowborn soldier who fought in a war against Verilon, saved the king's life, and was knighted. Teramin then retired from fighting and settled in Fairwool-by-Night, where Torin was born. Both Torin's parents died during a season of plague ten years ago, which killed half the population of Fairwool-by-Night. Since then, Torin has been living with Lord Kerof Oakmore as an adopted son. Growing up, he mostly served as the village gardener. When he turned eighteen, Torin was given a sword and breastplate and enlisted into the Village Guard, a small unit tasked with protecting the border (where their village is located). Darkness/Daylight?: Daylight Other: He has many friends, and an animal companion (a squirrel-fox called Pecan).
@Demi OCs:
Name: Pilar Gender: Female Age: 19 Appearance: Pilar is very tall and skinny, flat chested, with bony fingers and long nails. Here's a link for her face, because I just don't know how to describe her: 500px.com/photo/88755685/kim-natural-light-by-dani-diamond?utm_campaign=nativeshare&utm_content=web&utm_medium=pinterest&utm_source=500px Pilar has a septum piercing, lip piercing, eyebrow piercing, and a dermal piercing in her wrist. She also has several tattoos. Personality: Despite her intimidating appearance, Pilar is very kind and easy to talk to. She's a free spirit, doing whatever she wants, and doesn't take orders from anybody. If anybody makes her do something, she gets very urinatey about it. She's a wild child though, and can convince almost anyone to follow her for just a few hours Backstory: Pilar grew up in a family that was never particularly close. She never had any siblings or any type of responsibility, and that really had an effect on her personality, causing her to be recklessly carefree. Darkness/Daylight?: Daylight Other: None for the moment
Name: Sabre Gender: Male Age: 17 Appearance: Sabre is not especially handsome. His skin is copper toned, due to his heritage, and covered with scars. His eyes are a reflective silver in color, and they are always somewhat narrowed. He has harsh, defined features. His hair is jet black and falls midway down his neck. He always keeps it in a braid or ponytail to keep it out of his way. He is tall and well built. He has silver ink tattoos that glow in the darkness running down his spine, the backs of his legs and arms, and down his neck and chest. They look amazing, but they are shameful marks. Personality: Sabre is reserved and quiet. Completely silent, actually. He's mute, as his tongue was cut out long ago, and can only communicate via sign language or through the written word. He's very level headed and reasonable, a very logical being who always thinks fast and first. Backstory: Sabre was a prisoner for most of his life. He was improisoned for multiple counts of fraud. His tattoos were given to him to forever mark him as a criminal, and his mutilation was further punishment for being rather defiant during his imprisonment. Since he's been released, he works as a guard at the border of dusk. Darkness/Daylight?: Darkness Other: He has a companion for his work, a gleaming silver cat the size of a tiger which he named Selene.
