If you guys didn't know, I'm making a dress up game, completely by myself. Ola is helping me through email, but she's not going to be touching the file itself... It's my winter break project. (And I've only wanted to make one for, uh, a decade at least?)
Who are we dressing up? My character Kira. I thought she'd be a good model because:
- I love drawing her
- She's built like a brick house
- She has alternate selves in the Saints Row and Elder Scrolls universes so she has even more wardrobe possibilities than just her regular storyline
What kind of doll customization will we have? Unfortunately, since I don't know much about Flash, I only have it able to change the doll's hairstyles, not her coloring. Eventually I will probably make a full-blown dollmaker, but I currently have no idea. There are a bunch of hairstyles, though, and most of them come in two pieces! (There's at least one that's 'special' and only comes as one piece) SO YOU CAN MIX AND MATCH EVERYTHING! :D
What kind of clothing? There are three realms/universes/storylines I'm taking her clothing from:
- Original Story: Set in a post-apocalyptic Earth where most of the population has been wiped out by some mysterious, mostly-forgotten disaster. The remnants of humanity from all around the world all live in a large city-state sort of area. Along with the humans live the Guardians, who are assigned to each child, and Demons, who, well, you can guess. Along with some other strange things. But the Grim Reaper is very important to Kira, so you'll see lots of clothing items related to him, as well as angry beat up orphan clothing.
- Saints Row: Yep, she's my Third Street Saints boss. This means a lot of purple, a lot of black, a lot of leather, and a lot of fleur de lis...es...(?) I'm not gonna put any guns in the game (or, uh, most of the other weapon choices) but there is a certain weapon that might make an appearance, from Saints Row 4... *waggles eyebrows*
- Skyrim: Yes, Kira is also my Dragonborn. After being such a successful main character for SR, I said, "Why not?" Of course, the Skyrim clothing won't go so seamlessly into the other two wardrobes - but most of the clothing is sectioned so you can easily mix and match your tops and bottoms and what have you. I don't think I'll be drawing armor, but I'll be basing a lot of civilian clothing off of the clothing in the game. AND SO MANY ACCESSORIES!
What kind of game layout is it going to be? That is a very good question. I plan on it being somewhat similar to the Rock Chick maker and the Fairy Tale maker, but who knows? Something might come up. Iunno. It's a surprise to everyone.
