I barely pay attention to her because I play my xbox on an old tv (with an actual tube in it, glass screen and everything) and Oblivion shows up really dark and it's hard to play when you can't see anything. Same for some parts of Fallout: New Vegas, too, actually.
Her name is Aurora. Now, my main Skyrim character, Kira, her birth name is actually Aurora, and I wanted my Oblivion character to sort of be a precursor to Kira, with her real name and everything. Lineage or something.
She's a blonde Nord who specializes in one-handed blades, and some other stuff that I can barely remember. Sneak, I think. I made a special class for her that mimicked my playing style in Skyrim. Oh, Aurora's very fond of restoration magic.
I took about half an hour to make her face, because everyone in Oblivion is horrifying looking and I wanted a character who wasn't revolting. I think I did a pretty good job, actually. Though in the menu screen where your character is standing in their dumb battle stance, she sort of always has a blank but cheerful look on her face. I'm always thinking, "How are you so happy-looking? You go to Oblivion all the time! You die all the time! Everyone is hideous! You're basically blind in dark places!"
I meant for her to be a helpful, cheerful, good character, but Lucien Lachance popped up one night and I sort of took that opportunity. Because the Dark Brotherhood is pretty awesome.
I don't think the Thieves Guild is for me, though, mostly because I can't find any lockpicks and the lock system in Oblivion is out to get me. It's as difficult as trying to give a werewolf a disease...(note: werewolves are immune to diseases).
I need a mage character in Oblivion. Because the spells and stuff are so much more interesting than Skyrim. And my Skyrim mage, Adelmar, is actually really fun to play as. Since he strides into a cave and is like GOOD MORNING EVERYONE -explodes everything with fireballs-
But yeah, Oblivion. It's actually really fun. And quite green and welcoming compared to Skyrim...oh, and the Blades aren't buttfaces. |
