I've wanted to this for a while.... It's mostly so for Mirror, but I'll also add in snippets from my other stories as well. I'd like to make note that all of the snippets are from my novella drafts, including the ones for Mirror. Therefore, when (or if, most of the stories in the Mirror series are cut out of my DD verison for length reasons) I get to that scene in the PSM version, they won't be exactly the same. With that in mind, enjoy torturing your selves with my teasers :3
Oh! And some of the snips have mild language, so younger audiences be aware!

Mirror-
|From near the end / the last part of the series, late in the begining|
James walked into the room alone, expecting the worst-- the letter had implied as much. Therefore he was shocked to find his friend standing, looking out a window longingly, appearing perfectly normal aside from his heavily flushed cheeks.
"Aren't you suppose to be dead? I thought I was here for a good wake."
He smiled, but didn't turn. "You can admit you're scared you know, you don't have to be an ass."
"You look better than I thought you would Sage..."
"The weakness comes and goes. I'll feel decent one minute, and hardly be able to move the next."
"So is that good or-"
"You shouldn't have come James. I don't want you to see me like this..." He b.rushed a few tears off his face with his sleeve. It was unlike him to be crying; In fact, the only other time James had seen him so upset was when he found out that his mother was dead.
"How could I have stayed away? You're one of the few friends I have left." His voice softened, "Besides, Rebecca wanted to see you too. Hell, even Brian wanted to be here."
James waited for a responce, but Kaleb had grown silent, and looked a great deal paler. Breathing heavily, he collapsed to the floor. Immediately James rushed to his side, but stopped when Kae held his hand up in warning. "Don't touch me James..."
A Battle of Lights-
[From War of Heart, chp 8]
We both growled, our fur standing on end. He rushed at me suddenly, hitting me hard in the shoulder-- it was an attempt to knock me off my feet, but I didn't fall. I rose up on my hind feet and slashed the air in warning.
He did not back off. He snarled and once again charged at me. This time I gave no warning, I simply slashed him deeply in the side. He tried to back off, knowing full well how badly wounded he was, but I was relentless...
Finaly, I knocked him to the ground. He didn't try to get back up, he was too worn and too badly injured. I came and stood over him; all my instincts were screaming at me to finish him, but another thought was blocking them out.
Was this what August looked like when she... died? My heart was pounding in my chest. My poor, sweet little pup... Had she looked so afraid? Was she shivering, waiting for the merciless end, as he now was?
I backed away. I couldn't kill him.
Curiosity Keepers-
|From chapter one|
"Fine mess you've gotten into love," called a voice from the upper level of the room. "You know, we really must stop meeting in these unpleasent cirumstances."
Ixchel glanced up to the heavy stone balcony that ran along the chamber's perimeter. "Not the time Cade!" The pit was quickly filling with dirt and earth; if she was going to get the artifact, she'd have to be quicker than the falling rubble. "What are you doing here, anyways?" she called out, running towards the pit again.
A large stone landed on a stretch of the upper level, causing it to fracture... {RELEASED IN FULL}
