So, as you can see by the fact that I'm only just now doing this, I'm a ditz. Honestly, I think I should have been born a blonde...
Latest Edit: Jan. 17, 17
Anyway, as of now I'm 18 years old. I was born and raised in the coastal plains of Texas, and have never moved. I love animals, and have a plethora of pet that include three cats (Rainbow, a calico with grey tabby stripes instead of black markings; Marsh, a white-and-light b.rown tabby with blue eyes; and Dude, a short-haired b.rown tabby that is the size of a small dog), five fresh water tropical fish (one of which is a golden alge-eater that is about two inches long named Pawkeet, my pride and joy), and two hermit crabs (Key Lime and Fish 'N Chips... yes I name all my hermit crabs after food....). I also have a 'rent-a-pony', but because I don't acctualy own him, I don't consider him a pet.
With that in mind, I'm also an avid horseback rider. I prefer western, but my parents make me ride in english. My stable recently made me change horses after over three years with my darling baby doll, Mac. They gave him to another student, and I have many things I would like to say about him that I probably shouldn't (though I will say that the one on the top--which is also the most clean of the words I would like to use-- of the list starts with the letter 'S', has 8 letters total, and ends in 'tic'). These days I ride a stallion named Moonshine, and though he's an affectionate sweetie with an obsessive love for hoses, he's no Mac...
My favorite b.reed is the hackney, which is unfortunatly VERY low in numbers, and there for very rare and expensive, so there's little to no chance of me getting one in real life. However, the oh so wonderful websites of Howrse and both of the Horse Isles allow me to have plenty of virtual ones (And while we're on the topic, I'm on the HI1 roan server if anyone cares to hunt me down. Also on that note, in addition I play the apps HorseHaven: World Adventures and Horse Adventure: Tale of Etria. Both are very good, and I'd recomend them.). In regards to coat colors/patterns, my favorite has to be strawberry roans, because they're PINK! 'Nuf said. However, I also love bloody shoulder markings, but they only occur on greys...
I'm also on my school's academic decathlon team, and am currently S1. It takes a lot of time out of my life, but it is interesting. My goals for this year are to A) make the team again (check), B) be at least S2 (check), and C) medal at state. Or, at least, that's what they were untill I met one of the new schoolastics. There are many things I'd love to say about her too, but those are even less clean than the ones I'd use to describe the new rider of my horse. You see, she was suppost to be an honors, but she purposely bombed a major test just to get bumped down, to "ensure" she could dominate the rest of us. And she b.ragged about it. In front of us. Well, now my goal is just to show her what for. She didn't want to be up with the heavy hitters because she was scared they'd beat her into dust... Well, I'm going to show her what fear really means (also check), because YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT. End of story.
Outside of riding and acadec, the only other full on activity I'm into is choir. I started when I was in fourth grade, mainly because it was expected... Don't get me wrong, I love music, its just that I'm not as into it as the rest of my family.
What I am into (other than riding, as I've all ready said, and reading/writing, which I'll get into in a moment) is ASL. I took lessons for my foreingn language credit, and let me tell you, it was fun. Over the school years, I always hear all my friends complaining about how much they hate their spanish or french classes, but we ASL students never do such things because its that entertaining for us. I finished my third and final year of classes this year, but am still currently trying to traslate and album by my favorite band into asl despite that. I love the language almost as much as I do literature.
Now that says a lot, because its my dream to become an author some day. I've always grown up loving books and the stories they tell... to the point that I've had to put most of my books in my closet because I ran out of room on my bookshelf.
...Which leads me to my last topic (I bet you're grateful for that, this "b.rief bio" came out rather long, huh?), what I like to read. I love classics, historical fiction, mystery, adventure, and most fantasy (I hate modern dystopian). In regards to spesific titles, I am WAY into a few serials such as (in order of most to least obsession, with the last name of the author in parentheses) the Ascendance Trilogy and Mark of the Thief books (both Nielsen), the Cat Who series (Jackson Braun), the Seven Wonders series (Lerangis), and the Sylo Cronicals (MacHale). Some non serials I like include A Night Divided (also Nielsen), The Apothecary (Meloy) and its sequal which is called The Apprentices (also Meloy), Airman (Colfer), and Cleopatra's Moon (Shecter). In Towards the end (early dec.) of last year, I also fell into Funke's down right increadible Mirrorworld books, but I only know of two and am unsure if it is a full-on serial (anyone know if there are more?), so I can't catogorize them with the others.
