(DISCLAIMER: I'm not hating on anyone who uses Tumblr! Peebles, Emrys, Finn, etc I freaking love you guys and you are not like the other people I encountered while on the site!)

Just...just look at the posts on r/Tumblrinaction. (Sanity Sundays are amazing, I love them!) To inaccurately quote one of the posts, equality doesn't mean tipping the unbalanced scale the opposite way, it means balancing the scale.

I'm sick and tired of being told that I'm a worthless piece of trash because I'm white and cis. Is my value determined by things that I can't change? That's super petty, and frankly...kinda messed up. The Merriam-Webster definition of racism is racial prejudice or discrimination. No matter who you are, or where you are, you can be discriminated against. Telling someone to kill themselves because of the amount of melanin they have in their skin isn't right, no matter the color.

But of course, because I'm white I'm inherently racist? Just because of what my ancestors did? Other races have oppressed other races too, you know. Just look at China and Japan. The Egyptians and the Jews. Romans and Greeks. Egyptians and Nubians. Romans and pretty much everyone, actually. So are all the descendants of these people groups inherently racist? Of course not! Your family, especially your distant family, doesn't EVER determine what your morals are. I don't hold the same morals as the KKK just because I live in the American South.

Also, why do we talk so much about gender roles when all we're really doing is reversing them? Men are beat down for being traditionally masculine. (By the way, f***boy is a term that means a smaller man used by other men to relieve sexual urges in prison. If you don't think calling someone a rape victim as an insult is offensive...I don't know what to tell you.) Women are called airheads, basic b****s, and dumb sluts for enjoying the traditionally feminine. It's awful.

I really don't feel like getting into more controversial topics, as my thoughts on such matters are undecided, so Imma just leave this here. I really don't want to start any drama or anything, just needed to rant after some recent SJW drama I got sucked into somehow. I managed to keep it in the PMs, but seriously. It's turned me off of Tumblr for a long time. (Even though I haven't reblogged anything in over a year. Seriously, who messages someone who's been inactive for forever? Like what the heck.)
