Xié’è Xiōngshǒu or Xie (OUTDATED)
The Xie are demon-like creatures who live in the ground. They are said to be able to turn invisible, be immortal, and are not able to be killed. It is said there is only one way to kill a Xie and no one knows what it is.
Powers vary individually.
It is legend that there is a horned winged creature who lives in the ground. They watch and wait until it is late and then they come to pound.
They'll kill your cows and eat your sheep. They'll rip out your flowers while you sleep.
After the sun goes down, put your children to sleep. Put on your nightgown and hide while they creep.
And do not cry if your hear them in your house, they kill those awake so be as quiet as a mouse.
Some disregard them as myths and legends, but don't make it an obsession or when you are awake after dark they'll come and harvest your heart.
The only way to kill a Xie is.............................I'm not going to tell you. >:D
The average child Xie will have the appearance of a human and slowly grow into having horns, wings, and strangely colored eyes and hair (sometimes even skin).
Horns are usually white, black, yellow, or red. With red being the most common, white being the second most common, black being third most common, and yellow being uncommon.
Wings are usually grey, white, black, yellow, or red. With grey being the most common, black being the second most common, red being third most common, white being fourth most common, and yellow being uncommon.
Their powers will usually consist of things along the lines of:
can fly only for a few minutes and only, about, a few feet off of the ground.
Or something like this.
With these limited powers, the human villagers thought the Xie to be godlike when usually only the high-council Xie would have really extraordinary powers.
The Xie have three physical sexes:
Huā: Tend to be shorter, with smaller shoulders, bigger eyes, and rounder faces.
Yè: Tend to be extremely similar to average humans in size with more human-like eyes and features.
Shù: Tend to be taller, with bigger shoulders, smaller eyes, and more pointed features.
Huā is one of the three sexes of Xie. Huā tend to be shorter with smaller shoulders, rounder faces, and big eyes.
Huā are often made fun of for having rather useless magic, wings that can barely lift them off the ground, and often crooked horns.
A famous Huā is Sing Zìsī Yīnyuè Gēpû, a famous Xie popstar.
Most Huā mature to have household jobs (cooking, cleaning, etc) or to raise children. Very few have careers that value their intellect or magical abilites.
Yè is one of the three sexes of Xie. Yè tend to be extremely similar to average humans in size with more human-like eyes and features.
Some Yè actually cut off their wings and horns and live life as a human. Because of this, many Yè are looked down upon and having a Yè child is seen as a bad omen.
<( ) />
Yè are known to not have a very good spiritual conection and thus not be very good at magic.
Shù is one of the three sexes of Xie. Shù tend to be taller with bigger shoulders, smaller eyes, and more pointed features.
Shù are a minority among Xie and are known to have amazing magical abilities. The high Xie council is made up almost entirely of Shù for these reasons.
Shù children are very rare, even in families with one or more Shù parents.
Some Xie look down upon Shù Xie, believing that they think they are better than the rest of the Xie. |
