Ailidh hummed as she waited outside her home for her sister to arrive. Aina never was the most punctual girl, but she was nearly an hour late. Hearing the loud "clack clack clack" of a run comming towards her, Ailidh turned towards the noise smiling as she saw a familiar pink figure.
"Aina-"
"I'm know! I'm sorry I'm late! It was just so busy and I don't have a flying Tareh form except fo-"
Ailidh held up a hand signalling for her sister to quiet herself and calm down with a gentle smile. Aina took a deep breath and calmed herself before smiling back at her elder sister
"So, are you ready to go to the market, Aina?"
"I've been looking forward to it for MONTHS!" Aina grinned and began bouncing on the balls of her feet before following her sister to the market. As the streets became more crowded Ailidh gently took hold of her sister's hand, as Aina was getting distracted by all of the shiny baubles, flower-themed items, performers, and delicious looking food.
Ailidh had seen something in the market yesterday that was perfect for her younger sister, and had asked the seller to hold it for her until today. Leading Aina through the crowded market was a bit of a hassle, as she would constantly pull back on Ailidh's arm and stop to look at something for a few moments before Ailidh would get them on their way again.
"You seem to get distracted more often then I remember ,Aina."
"It's not MY fault everything is so pretty! There's so many pretty pink accessories and flower headresses and and and!"
"Yes, yes, I know dear sister. But I have something specific I want you to see. I found it yesterday and I think you'll enjoy it." Ailidh flashed a small smiled at her sister as they walked through the market. Aina tilted her head curiously and followed Ailidh obediently without stopping to look at things that caught her eye.
After about 10 minutes of walking through the crowded market streets, the sisters stoped in front of a lavishly decorated store, with many different outfits on mannequins; all of which were obviously very high quality. Aina tilted her head at the store before look at Ailidh in confusion before askin, "What are we doing here?"
"To buy your gift, your birthday was last month and I haven't been able to give you a gift in years!" Ailidh smiled and lead her sister into the store, straight to the seamstress who owned the store who recognized the elder sister immediately and went into the back, to come back out with a beautiful salmon and rose pink dress, a floral headress, and rose pink heels with bead straps. One look at the outfit and Aina was in love with it, but looked over at her sister in shock.
"Ailidh, I can't let you buy this for me! It's much too exspensive fore a mere birthday gift!"
"Oh nonsense, It's been nearly 5 years since we last saw each other, and even more years since I was able to buy you a gift." Ailidh smiled as she pulled out lavishly decorated bottles filled with various emotions from her satchel, and held a finger up to Aina's lips when she went to protest. "Four bottles of awe, six bottles of peace, and one bottle of ecstasy like we agreed upon yesterday yes?"
"Indeed we did, thank you for your service." The seamstress smiled and took the bottles of emotions from Ailidh before looking to Aina. "Would you like to put the clothes on now, mam?"
After a second or two Aina nodded and was handed the clothes and was led into a changing room. A few minutes later Aina stepped out in her new outfit and Ailidh couldn't help but clap in happines at how beautiful and happy her little sister looked in the clothing.
"You look positively radient miss," said the seamstress, causign Aina to blush and mutter her thanks shyly. Ailidh smiled and put Aina's old clothes in her satchel before taking Aina by the hand again. "Shall we head back out and show everyone how beautiful you are dear sister?"
Aina nodded slightly and smiled bashfully. "Yes." |
