~An introduction to the world of Dark Dream~

     The tales I am about to tell you take place in a world known as K'etsa (or 'Unity', in the language of the Dark Fey).  It is a world where the concept of Yin and Yang rules supreme; both the Dark and the Light fey must be of equal strength and happiness for the world to be at peace.

Peoples: There are two main civilizations of people in K'etsa, known as the Light Fey and the Dark Fey.  They believe in a multitude of gods and goddesses, but we won't go into that at the moment.

Dark Fey: Tall and beautiful, arguably the strongest physically and most cunning of the two groups.  They are around seven or eight feet tall.  Their skin is dark grey, sometimes black, and is smooth and flawless.  Their eyes are black around the pupils, which are silver-grey, and their hair ranges from auburn to a dark burgandy color.  Their ears are pointed at the tip, and they live for about 900-1,000 years.  

Light Fey: Slightly shorter than the Dark Fey, fair-haired and pale-skinned.  Their skill lies in the arts of magic, music, and healing.  They are a peaceful people unless provoked, in which case they make quite a formiddable enemy.  They live about the same amount of years as the Dark Fey.

K'etsa is a small planet.  It has three suns and four moons, thought to be the physical forms of their major gods and goddesses.  Most of the planet itself is a mountainous area, largely desert, but with a small forest around the main water source--the ocean of Kohnala, which is where the Light and the Dark fey reside.
