Many people know the story of Aang who was the last airbender, Toph the earthbender, Katara the waterbender, or even Zuko the firebender. However none have heard the story of 3 powerful benders: Mikka the waterbender, Haylinn the earthbender, and Ava the mighty firebender. This is their story that started with Ava when they were all very young:

My name is Ava and i am a firebender.  My parents dissappered one day and i haven't seen them in forever. I have been on my own for a while now and had 2 friends until the day i met Zuko the Fire Nation prince. That was a day i will never forget!

"STOP! THEIF!" a fire nation gaurd yelled. a little girl was running off with a small loaf of bread and a few other bites of food. Ava wore a small dress that was stitched by her mother 2 years ago before she dissappeared from her life forever. It was a red top and black skirt stitched together. she had brown hair and green eyes and her skin was dirty from mud. She ran as fast as she could to escape the guards. She rounded the corner and stopped to catch her breath then climbed up a pole onto the roof. She looked down and saw the gaurds looking for her. "Where did that little brat go?" asked one. "Up there!" yelled a gaurd who had finally spotted her. "Uh Oh" she gasped as she ran on top the roof. She came to the end and it seemed like they would catch her when she fell. she ran back, turned around, and stopped. She took a deep breath and ran hard to the edge of the roof. The gaurds stood there waiting to catch the little thief, but never got the chance. She jumped up and landed on the other roof. The gaurds stood there in amazement and looked like complete idiots. Ava ran on and jumped from roof to roof and then jumped down off the roof. She rounded the corner and ran into the busy streets of the market place. She blended in with the crowd and hid from the guards. She then spoted the Firelord's wife and the Fire Nation's prince. "Wow! they are so lucky to have everything. The prince has a mother, a father, AND a sister! I wish i did. That would be nice to have someone to be there and take care of you." Ava said thinking of her own mother and father. She thought about how much fun they used to have. Why did that have o end so quickly? She remembered how their last day together seemed so magical and when morning came how everything fell apart. Her whole world came crashing down on her when she realized her mother and father wasn't there. She remembered waiting everyday for their return, but they never came back. She still has some how that she will find them eventually. The prince was handsome. His smile gave Ava a hint of happiness. When he smiled she wanted to smile too. He saw her staring at him and hid behind his mother. She looked up and saw Ava and smiled a hello at her. They shared a moment of closeness and then the gaurds showed up. "Got you! You little brat! Your coming with us!" said a gaurd that looked like a monkey with all his facial hair. Ava wiggled out of his grasp and ran off toward the Firelord's wife and son. She ran between them and the gaurds did too. One nearly pushed the prince down. Ava ran back and slid underneath the gaurds' legs. She jumped up and kept running never slowing down once. The gaurds once again stood there looking like idiots and finally ran after her. The Firelord's wife watched interested. Ava ran back between the mother and son while flashing a smile and wink at the prince. The gaurds split up and circled her. She looked around and the gaurds smiled triumphantly. She put her head down and concentrated really hard. The gaurds thought she was giving up and closed in on her. She flung her head up and prepared to fight. The gaurds laughed. "This is an insult toward us! You think we won't fight you? HA! You think you could possibly win against all of us? Child i laugh at your ignorance!" The monkey gaurd yelled. " I don't THINK i will win i KNOW i will! I believe you underestimate me. You think you will defeat me easily? Well prepare to fight! I will give you a struggle! After i win will you forever leave me alone?" Ava said confident in herself. "Sure if you win, which you WON'T, I will forever leave you alone and allow you to get anything you wish to eat!" the monkey gaurd said amused by this litle girl. "Very well then! Show me what you got!" Ava yelled and Shot a fireball at him. He stood there shocked. "Well now, who knew the little brat could firbend?" he said and the gaurds attacked. It was a spectacular image. All the gaurds fought a little girl. She was winning to! She jumped up and firebent a kick to a guard. as the battle went on she took the gaurds out one by one. Finally all that was left was Ava and the monkey gaurd. He stood there angered by how easily his team had been defeated by this little girl. "What are you?" he asked afraid of his defeat. "I am but a little girl with firebending abilities! So are you afraid monkey?" Ava asked. "MONKEY? YOU DARE TO CALL ME MONKEY?" the monkey gaurd asked. "YES! I DARE! Now come and get me!" Ava yelled. The gaurd ran and tried hitting her but she jumped up over him and twirled around in mid air. She hit him and then jumped up again. He tried firebending at her, but she was too quick. She dodged every blow and finally he started teasing her. "SO who are you really? Are your parents proud of this monster?" "Dont talk about them! And i am no monster!" "You are not a monster? Then what exactly am i looking at? all i see is a hideous monster that steals!" I am NOT a monster MONKEY!" ava yelled back at him. He could see he was angering her. He seemed to enjoy her anger. "You are a monster or else your parents would be here to pay for the food and stop you. They don't even care enough to protect you from me?" he asked her. " STOP IT! They do care! They will always LOVE me! They will come back!" She yelled and then stopped. "They WILL come back? You mean they LEFT you?" He asked her smiling. "I have proven my point! They will never come back! They don't care about you! They don't love you! Who are your parents?" He asked. "Jade and Lee Dao." Ava said seeming defeated. "Ahhh those two? Well i love to tell you this, but they were killed! They are DEAD and they are NEVER coming back! You will never have your mother and father back! They are gone forvere and they left you here all alone! You will always be alone and there is nothing you can do about it!" Ava started crying. "Am I Making the little monster said? Am I? They didn't love you because they ran away! Lee escaped to Ember Island and was killed by a guard in an Agni Kai battle! Jade was taken o prison after a distructive Agni Kai battle and you will die in this Agni Kai battle!" He shouted at her. She had had enough! "This is NO Agni Kai battle! My mother and father did NOT die in Agni Kai battles! They were NOT firebenders! and I will certainly not die in this battle!" She blew fire from her mouth and attacked. She hit him with everything she had. He didn't see it coming. After he was down she kept fighting him. When she finally stopped she looked down at the terrified man and then fell to her knees crying. "Child are you all right?" asked the Firelord's wife. Ava looked up at her and said "I'm sorry please don't send me to prison." "I wouldn't dare!" she laughed "My name is Ursa and this is my son Zuko". Ursa explained. "Hello. My name is Ava Dao, but you can just call me Ava." said Ava. "Did you really mean that? About your parents. Are they really gone?" Ursa asked her. "Yes." she answered. " You can come live with us at the palace. Would you like that?' Ursa asked her. "YES! I would! Thank you!" ava said and she walked alongside Zuko from that day on.

That was they day i met Zuko. He isn't my only friend though i eventually met Haylinn and Mikka but thats another story.
