Spring Fae
Spring Kin
-
The Spring Kin the most human looking of the courts, in general appearance, and used to blend into the human's world easily when visits to the Mortal Realm were made. The only thing that could give them away was the pointed Fae ears and those could easily be hidden under their thick hair.
-
They have pale skin, though not as much so as the ethereal Summer Kin, brightly coloured eyes, usually in shades of blue or green, and thick, curly hair in any lighter shade of brown or red, sometimes mixed with one other colour, depending on their nature alignment.
-
Spring Kin sometimes have what is known as a Nature Alignment, which means that they have a particular bond or strength with a specific part of nature. The Alignments are:
-
Forest - the Kin is gifted with helping the trees and those who live in them. Colour is deep green.
-
Garden - the Kin has an intense green thumb, several of these alignments work in the palace, nurturing the expansive royal gardens. Colour is deep purple.
-
Water - these Kin have an affinity with water, and often communicate with the Merrow to insure that the rivers, lakes, and seas of the Realms are taken care of. Colour is deep blue.
-
Nurture - the Kin is especially gifted with all things to do with child care and children of all kinds (most Spring Kin already have this trait to begin with, Nurture Alignment has a more potent gift of it). They are often caretakers or midwives. Colour is deep pink.
-
They are a very kind and nurturing Kin. If one needs help or comfort of any kind, these Kin are the first ones to go to. They will give shelter to all who ask, Seelie or Un, and a more trustworthy friend you will not find. The other Kins, however, think of them as naive and in some cases, weak.
-
Spring Kin have another gift, that of metal work (the metal they work with, Orichalcum (gold) or Mythril (silver), is completely different from mortal metal, and does not have the same harmful effects) and gems. Their jewelry is known the Realms over, and the intricacy of it is enough to make one's head spin, but every piece is feather light and very easy to wear, regardless of amount of gems and charms used. They also help the Swan Folk create their personal golden instruments.
