Dragyn’s Point of View
*Growwwwwwllll*
I groaned. “Man, why do I have to be so stubborn?” I glared at my stomach. “I should’ve let Angel bring me food…” I paused as I saw a white shape in the sky that made the clouds look gray.
Liam. And Angel! With a saddle full of food!
I love you, Angel I love you, Angel I. LOVE. YOU. ANGEL!
I jumped to my feet and started sprinting toward the valley, but stopped short when I realized that Liam wasn’t the only dragon in the sky. There were two others, black as night, following close behind. I cursed. Legion Dragons! What the hell are they doing here?! I waved my arms frantically, trying to get Angel’s attention, but she was too far off. By the time she actually noticed me, it was too late. The two legion dragons and their riders had corralled Liam between them and were forcing him to land.
Course, Liam had never been one to do as he’s told…
The second one of the enemies had gotten close enough, and Liam struck out with his clawed front leg, successfully half-blinding the black dragon.
“Good shot, Liam!” I cheered.
Liam was close enough to hear me this time, though. While he was distracted, the second Legion Dragon clawed at his right wing, creating a gash right down the middle of it.
Oh, crap! No, no, no!
I watched in horror as Liam started to lose altitude and fell, faster and faster, to the ground. I heard Liam’s agonized roar and knew the landing hadn’t been smooth.
“ANGEL!!!”
