The Scribble Guild is a guild of longstanding watchers, dedicated to seeing stories to their end. There are those who would stand in the way of that, try to stop someone’s story.  It is those people, whose stories are being blocked, that come to us, whether they realize it or not. To others we are strange, posing as scribes who in secret do protection and mercenary jobs, when really it is the opposite.  We do those jobs for the stories.  What could seem like an ordinary person's troubles, will become tales of legend, heroism, and romance to future generations.  We are the holders of one of the oldest magics in the world.  Writing magic, the Powers of Scribble, allowing us to interact with the world.  Interact, not interfere.  We cannot change someone’s destiny or how their story will end.  That is a power that only they have.  Our job is merely to make sure they see them through until the end.  There are those who dislike our magic, and those who want it for themselves, and they are willing to stop, and even destroy our wards’ stories to get it.  We won't let that happen.  Everyone deserves to see their story to the end. That's our job. To let everyone's story finish, no matter what.
