All dolls of this series are art nouveau and Mucha inspired - some more, some less :D

MORNING
The dress represents the cold golden tone of the morning sun. The notes which give the dress its fabric pattern represent the chirping of the birds. When I created this doll, I had a cold nebulous morning in mind. Thats why I chose tones of turquoise/mint green and white as background colors.

NOON
The dress represents the golden midday sun. The little swirls as fabric pattern of the dress are a hint for sunrays. Of course I had to use blue for the background. I added some flowers and butterflies (because I just love butterflies) - they simply fit to a nice warm summer day..

EVENING
Again the dress stands for the setting sun with its gold-reddish colours. As an extra the doll carries a deep red scarf-like fabric. Maybe because the girl need some extra cloth when its getting colder or to represent a nice red sundown. The brown as background color just fits nicely to the golds and reds.

NIGHT
The color of the dress stands for the white-yellowish light of the moon. In addition, the doll carries a blanket. That could be because it's getting cold at night or because clouds hide the moon and its light. The purplish-blue for the blanket and the background is my attempt to represent the night with its darker colors and nightsky. The white of the border should represent the moonlight. And I like the color combination white-yellow-purplish-blue. Although I think in this case that the white is too much because the whole picture is too bright and not 'nightly' enough.
