Many centuries have passed, and the kingdom is in decline. The royal family has turned away from the gods, believing only in power, the rulers now calling themselves "Tyrants". Many temples have been destroyed, but the one in Andrín coudn't be destroyed. As a result, the Tyrants had Arachnon built - a tower made from black stones, near the capital city of L'Ossanuk. It is often refered to as "The Black Tower" and a symbol of power and fear. It is ten stories high, with a garden on the 7th floor. The Tyrants terrorised their own people, and the previous ruler, having a fear of magicians, had them hunted down and killed. Many people believe the Gods have deserted them, however, they have a different understanding of time and believed the humans would be able to sort things out on their own. But now, as a rebellion grows in power and strength, the gods slowly move their pieces into position to restore the world to what it was supposed to be like. The rebels manage to kill the Tyrant, but the next day, his daughter succeeds him, and things get much, much worse... |
