Guys, I found some super cringe. Apparently this was made by the BBC. But.. it does contain a lot of cool facts about Powhatan life and some European history. As we all know, the Disney movie about Pocahontas wasn't exactly accurate and this clears up some of those misconceptions. This goes through the history of the legendary Indigenous woman, her life, how she helped the settlers, her marriage and her life in England. You can also learn a lot about just how poor poor people in Europe were, in case you were really curious about that. Did you know that Pocahontas wasn't her real name? It was a childhood nickname that meant “playful one” or “ill-behaved child.” Her real name was Amonute.
