Princess Diana Wedding Dress Up: A Royal Romance
Game by: Peggy Jo Rosamond
Dress up the late Princess Diana and Prince Charles for their wedding day or other events from their relationship in the 80s. The gorgeous artwork is by the late artist Peggy Jo Rosamond. Some excerpts from the original paper doll book: 'The paperdoll Prince wears his uniform as an officer of the Royal Navy, the paperdoll Princess wears an ivory pure silk taffeta dress trimmed with old lace embroidered with tiny mother-of-pearl sequins and seed pearls (obviously inspired by the dress worn by the Prince's great-great-great-great grandmother at HER wedding..' I spent a long, long time trying to figure out who the G4 grandmother would be. But when I worked my way back up through the (gorgeous) wedding gown sketches from history on the starting game screen, I realized the titles are off? 'Grandmother' is obviously Queen Elizabeth, Charles' mother. 'Great grandmother' is a 1920s dress.. which very clearly makes it Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon's (in her marriage to King Geogrge VI). She's his grandmother. So... I guess the titles are just off by one generation. They're in relation to Prince William, not Charles. So then I was hooked and had to figure them all out haha. Continuing in order, GG grandmother is Princess Mary of Teck, marrying Prince George (she was initially engaged to his older brother passed away). G3 was Princess Alexandra of Denmark being wed to Edward VII. It was the first gown in British royal history to be photographed while worn! And G4 is, of course, the OG herself, Queen Victoria!
