I also have an issue with finishing stories, but if I'm passionate about something, I'm pretty good at staying on track. ^^ I think it's normal to stray to a different topic after awhile. It keeps your mind fresh. ^^ If that makes any sense. Also, it can be so difficult to start & end a story...sometimes filling in the middle gaps is just so much easier. xD <3

@kokopelli, I'm the same way with my writing. I really don't believe my abilities are really all that grand. I'd love to be an author, but the likelihood of becoming famous is so slim that I've considered many different career paths. However, literature is still my minor if not 2nd major, & I plan on writing until I just can't stand it. xD If you like something, you should keep doing it, no matter what you or anyone else thinks of your work. ^^

don't think like that, kokpelli! i'm sure not even JK Rowling was a perfect writer when she was your age. @LunaSapphire I have three unfinished books on my computer, and another one that i'm currently working on. you're not the only one, i promise!

I love writing. However, I have this bad habit of sticking with an idea for a month or so and then bouncing on another idea as it comes along... I write almost every night before I go to bed, though. It's just relaxing for me, but I don't think I'll ever be really famous, my stuff isn't good enough for that lol.

hahahaha well i guess you have a good point. ana is insanely funny because she makes dumb jokes. she'll say: 'let's fight like men!' and then we do a sissy fight. i'll keep fictionpress in mind, though i'm superparanoid about plagiarism hehehe.

@angelicdoll, yay!! I'm so glad to meet another writer!! <3 @eyeswideshut, hehehehe, everyone's funny in their own unique ways. I have a friend who legitimately makes the worst jokes but because they are so bad & because of her enthusiasm, it's hilarious. xD & if you'd like a place to submit your original works, there's a place called fictionpress. Though it's arguably not as popular as fanfiction. xD I've posted some on both, though they're very, very old & quite questionable. xD

sorry i haven't been on here for a while! fantasy and comedy are awesome, though i don't think i'm very funny hahaha XD. it's now at 300 pages, and i got maybe another 40 pages or so. thank you! and no, i don't add my works on to fanfiction, unfortunately. they're all original! hehehe. i'm VioletTheGenius. i must say that my username iss quite true, although my name is not violet. it's a nickname my friend ana gave me. ;)

@Falak, trust me, it takes a lot of work & dedication to build patience as a writer. It can be really irritating when inspiration fails to strike or you just can't figure out how in the world you want to phrase a particular sentence. xD Writer's block is also the worst thing to experience. @lizzie, I just checked out Wattpad & made my own account! ^^ Funny thing is, I have a similar layout on a Word document with all my characters already. xD & you'll think of something I'm sure! ^^
