In answer to the question (asked by @rose-renee) "How do you decide on the ethnicity of your characters?"... I happened to find a couple of compelling photos that I liked on Pinterest, and based my character's ethnicity off of a wild guess as to that look. I didn't find my two on lost's Whiplash People board, but I started there and kept clicking on "more similar results".
So, I confess that Zulah's face and hair are largely, though not entirely, inspired by model Aiyana A. Lewis. Zulah ALSO... O Ma is similarly based heavily on Bridget Hollitt O Ma and RTee/Arturo's main model is Simon Tham RTee
