AAAHHH THAT WAS SUCH A TEASE! Also both look absolutely lovely here, especially together. But good lord I was SO HOPING that what had happened was real!!

And if it was a vision, was this a glimpse of what she wanted to have happen, what Velen wanted to happen, or perhaps what Velen wanted her to want to happen. Catleya decides she has much to think about. "It's late," she tells him. "What will your mother or your fellow clerics think if you return to either place at this hour?" "They'll assume I was with you," admits Velen. "They will, yes," Cat hisses. "I suppose you might as well stay the night here, then; it can hardly appear worse."

She sighs. "I have my reasons, Velen. We will... all of us... discuss them soon, I promise." However, pulling her mind back to business appears to leave Catleya dizzy for a moment, and when her senses return to clarity, Velen is standing a step from her, looking deep into her eyes, and barely rubbing the curve of one ear. Was it all a dream, then? She hasn't been getting enough sleep, but really! Cat suspects Velen's telepathy, yet whether it was planned or just happened, she's not sure.

Cat doesn't even consider resisting. It has been many years since she's been a small enough girl to be held, and the resultant comforting feeling is too powerful and welcome. She closes her eyes and rests her head against his shoulder. Velen murmurs, "You'd still be my Catleya, even if you showed up at the Temple again in white, for I do not abandon those I care about simply because I cannot approve of all of their behavior. Still, I wish you would ponder slowing down, at least, if you can."
