Growing up tan in a tribe of fair elves was not easy for Amberlinden, but neither was it hard. The other children didn't tease her, yet they showed little interest in her if adults were not present. Accordingly, young Amberlinden turned to the wild, to the forest, for comfort and companionship, and was not disappointed. All elves love nature, and in her this tendency manifested in a desire to protect the innocent from the tainted, for not all the animals at that time were... normal. Hence, she became a hunter and a ward-walker.

Amberlinden is rather young for an elf of her type, but extremely responsible, perhaps because of the very dark elven blood that makes her paler fellows just ever so slightly nervous. Even dark elves are not necessarily evil, but it is easy to become what people expect you to be after fighting prejudice for centuries. Still, Amberlinden has a resilient and sunny, if a little over-solemn, personality. She does not enjoy fighting, but there is satisfaction in knowing that any job is well done.
