| I turn the key to my room and discover a small, but elegant chamber with feminine furnishings and a balcony overlooking the grounds. After changing into my nightclothes I fall exhausted onto the ivory silk duvet covering the sleigh bed. Sometime just before dawn the nightmare takes me just as it always does. Cold sweat on silk becomes ocean waters surrounding me; my limbs become paralyzed, weighted down with unyielding iron. The chains will not be moved by charm as people are and I sink further into the abyss... |
