What a beautiful story, and what a beautiful lady! She looks like a saloon keeper, but with a quiet refinement that foreshadows her change. Her face has such a lovely melancholy.

Continautino 11 Soon the Pastor and Martha were announcing to the church they were going to have a baby. They decided to name their first born Isaac for every time she thought about how the goodness of the Lord to her after living such a godless life she just laughed. Pastor Paul was a man who she never dreamed in a million years she could be a wife to and he loved her as Christ loved the church. Everyone loved the couple.

Continuation 10 That fateful evening changed the dynamics between the Pastor and Martha and after a year they were married. Martha always loved to play the piano at the saloon and she had started playing at the church. Her husband Pastor Paul was appreciative of her talent and asked her to start a choir. The two of them laughed because the choir consisted of many of her former customers. They had marvelous voices and they were faithful as they were to come to Martha's Vineyard.

Continuation 9 You alright my lady. She nodded and the sound of My lady had a sweetness to it that she found most delightful. Sly gained his composure and seeing the cross about the Pastor's neck simmered down. He suddenly remembered his grandmother who raised him telling him that he was no match for God or his servants. Pastor Paul sat down and talked to him about Jesus love and power to change his life. Sly began to weep. He confessed that he needed the Lord.

Continuation 8. He said Well God ain't changed me. Now why don't you come over here and give ole sly a kiss. She said, Oh Sly but before she could protest he grabbed her arm. Not realizing Pastor Paul was in the restroom when he saw the situation he grabbed the man. Sly Foxx was a robust fellow and only God could have given him strength to push him away. He swung at the Pastor but given he was intoxicate he missed. The pastor caught him before he fell and put him in a seat.

Continuation 7 His visits became consistent as did her church attendance. Her restaurant was closed on Sundays so she could attend church. Many in the town had given up drinking and started coming to church. One man was angry about the change. Sly Foxx was his name and he suited it. He one day came to the restaurant when it was closing and all the customers had left. He said, Hey Martha do you think I believe for one minute you changed? She said, God has changed me Sly.

Continuation 6 Rev Paul took the podium and he preached the gospel and the anointing ( the power of the Holy Ghost fell upon all present). Martha received Christ and others did too. She knew that her business had to change. She knew that alcohol had ruined many lives including her own father and almost ruined hers. Well after two weeks she closed the business and renovated it to be a family restaurant which Pastor Paul frequented.

continuation 5 As she approached the building her eyes filled with tears. She hadn't been in a church since she left home. Never thought she would be accepted. As she crossed the threashold of the building Pastor Paul was there to greet. Welcome Martha. A few of the customers seeing her thought, this must be some type of front so the police won't raid it or something. Curiously they ventured in to realize that it was set up just like a church but they decided to take a seat to rest.

Continuation 4 Carmel in the Bible she remembered was the place where the prophet called down fire and she was told it meant God's vineyard. She smiled as she dressed and decided to post join me at Carmel a vineyard and she posted the address. Having a drink at Carmel. Well as she was dressing to attend church she saw a few of her customers. She could hear one of the frequent fliers saying in his scraggly voice, Must be a new saloon. Well let's head on over. She slipped out the back gate.
