| The photographer's were snapping pictures of this starlet who had just announced her engagement to Franklin Benjamin the wealthy cattle rancher. When he saw Elissa he desired her and went through great lengths to win her hand in marriage. On her hand was a remarkable set of stones. Her ring was diamondst and emerald. As she posed for her picture in the Twon Crier the lcoal newspapers society page a woman came in very pregnant. She was hysterical. She ran up to Elissa and slapped her. Elilssa was stunned by the act and held her cheek for about a minute. Boy did it sting. Someone came and grabbed the woman and she wriggled her self free. Take your hands off of me. She said I am Mrs.Benjamin. My husbnad is a notorious bigamist and you will be the fourth wife of this man. I have come to save you from disgrace and misery. Elissa couldn't believe what her ears were hearing but the news reporter did and the next day the story hit the presses. Franklin denied the allegations. |
