| Juliet gave a farewell glance to the old homestead. Pa couldn't pay the mortgage and they had only given them 48 hours to be off the premises. Juliet went outside to pray . She had read in the Bible of God's provision and promise to not forsake the righteous. Her father was a man who loved the Lord and served as the pastor for ten years but the salary just wasn't enough to make the ends meet. As tears streamed down her eyes she thought she was seeing a mirage. There on the step stood all the church members and Pa was waving to her to come. She couldn't believe the church members came up with enough money so that they could stay. When they heard that they would have to get a new pastor they prayed and the Lord let them know he was to continue to pastor so they gathered up old things and pawned it and came up with enough for six months mortgage. Juliet bowed her head and said Thank you Jesus! |
