| Deemed one of the most beautiful women in the small town it was quite a stir among men folk when Jedidiah Stewart won her hand in marriage. Clyde Taylor was fuming mad when he learned that he had won her heart. He was not a nice fellow that Clyde and he had evil intents toward this suitor. Jessica's best friend overheard his plan to have a few of the towns fellows jump him by putting out a lie. Jessica was not a fearful one for the Bible says the righteous are as bold as a lion and she was out of the cage and ready to roar. She met the towns men at the saloon and after she made each one of them step out she told them of Clyde's intent. When Clyde came to create the stir the men had a better plan. They all volunteered to decorate the church. Clyde was so disgusted he packed up his bags and left town. "Good riddance" thought Heidi as he passed by in his wagon as the wedding was taking place. |
