| Gladys heard the alarm clock and resisted the temptation to hit the snooze button but immediately rolled to the floor and prayed. She knew today's challenges she dare not try to face without acknowledging the Lord. She knew today was an early dismissal for the students and parent teacher conferences would begin. One of the students was being raised by his father. His mother died this year giving birth to their youngest child who was now two years old. The father was doing an outstanding job it seemed for Sinclair was always on time, neatly dressed, homework always turned in on time and had an A in her class. She was eager to meet him.
Gladys rummaged through her closet and selected several outfits but finally decided to wear her pinstripe pantsuit. It was professional. She was concerned meeting a single gentleman that her attire not give any wrong impression. Most of her co workers called her Millie Modest since her name was Gladys Millicent Turner. |
