| Selia's name means blind and her motto for life is be color blind see through the eyes God's eyes of love and when you see someone you will find a jewel every time. She has the gift of hospitality and is a greeter at her church The Church of the Open Door and everyone who crosses the threshold never is a stranger. The gift of hospitality is very important in the kingdom of God. Jesus said Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. God's invitation to spiritual rest is to all. Selia is at the door now greeting a homeless woman who hasn't bathed in a few days. She lovingly speaks to her and even gives her a hug. Her actions caused the woman to want to hear the sermon and not just receive a hand out and she received Christ that very day. She said that Selia's welcome made her realize God loved her and when she heard the message she realized she needed to repent of her sins and receive Christ and she did. Selia's actions made a difference. |
