| Miss Alaska is a native of Fairbanks and is a graduate of the University of Alaska with a degree in Education. She is a fourth grade teacher. She is a wonderful cook and a is the coach of the girls basketball team at the school. She is the youngest of five children. Her father is a pastor and her mother plays the organ and taught Aurora to the play the instrument. She will play a concerto piece in the contest. She received the best teacher of the year award last year as well. |
