| As a child a woman named Mrs.Banner a neighborhood poetess hosted an annual seniors event. She spotted Mrs Mary K's granddaughter playing in the yard and thought she looked like a Hawaiian Princess. It was settled that the 12 year old would represent the state among women 65 years and older. Her mother made her a little costume and they even interviewed her on television. Now she is an adult but she never forgot the experience. |
