"So, we're going by car, then?" an anxious Karako queried. "Yes, apparently the abductors found it convenient to stick to the roads. Mark's out looking for a vehicle to fit the six of us, now," the young Witch replied. "Oh," was all the Kitsune said, but she was clearly distressed. "What am I missing, Karako?" Marea asked wearily. "Normally, when I've had to be around a lot of cars, exploring the mortal world side of Asia, I just wore my charmed, sense-dampening hood," the fox fae explained.

The three of them had followed Vedika's etheric signature across the straight from Copenhagen, through Malmo, Sweden, and were winding their way up the west coast, vaguely towards Oslo rather than Stockholm, when they turned back for the night. Robin would meet the rest of them in Denmark in the morning, and they'd continue from there, only a tiny bit faster this time, since they were familiar with a few of the meandering lanes and byways. Marea was tired, and a little cranky due to a headache.

So far, the two criminals had indeed remained with the road system, although they'd utilized the local back roads rather than the highway. That was only to be expected. Often these roads were narrow and confusing, and Mark wondered if a kid on a bicycle could make better time, provided the child knew where he or she was going, unlike the Yeled himself. Nevertheless, it beat hiking by a long shot, and was easier on the feet. There were also worse things than acting as chauffeur for two Witches.
