The world was fading to black and white, all of its color leached into the sparkling dots dancing before Marea's eyes, and there was a rushing in her ears, but then she found it. They'd been very good... exceptionally good, really... about covering their tracks. Ironically, it was that wiping clean of the "memory" of the rocks beyond the railing that gave them away, whoever they had been. "Stones imprint with certain resonances," she explained to Mark, upon coming back to normal consciousness.

If you've calculated it... objectively... I'll trust your judgement." "Okay, then. This will definitely make me dizzy, so... Yeah," she said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders protectively. Slowly and cautiously the young Witch extended her senses outward, dropping her shields in layers.
