OMG that last line "can I call on you, anyway"? SWOON! Again (as always) beautiful writing, but did you have to leave us with a cliffhanger? Gah! I really like Shang's outfit and expression, cute smirk! Mulan is gorgeous as ever, I like the hesitation on her face. Looking forward to the next doll installment (dollment?) ;)

Thanks so much, Lexia!! Mulan's outfit is actually the first one she wears in Mulan 2; I did want to use some things from the Disney sequel, after all. But so far as I know, she's not musically inclined in any retelling of the story... Only one doll left, now!

Beautiful scene, they both look amazing and I love the details to the seal, the erhu, sword, ect...and I have to say I'm very interested in her Mulan's answer!

He ushered the young man into the garden where Mulan was indifferently practicing the erhu, a stringed instrument. She looked up guiltily, but slipping away now would be just too cowardly. "Fa Mulan," Li Shang said gently, handing her a bundle of cloth, "you left before the Palace laundry finished cleaning your uniform." "Oh." Mulan's face stayed down, so he couldn't see her expression.

Her father met and greeted him.
