Her parents make sure that she also has plenty of time to socialize with the other teens her own age. Syeha has always been popular without really trying, but now she has to find her footing again as a magician in her own right, and not merely the witch-woman's daughter. Most of those Syeha considered true friends are happy for her, and continue treating her just as before, but the girl is unhappy to discover that the difference in her status has alienated a few of the people she cared for.

Syura is an excellent teacher, able to pass along knowledge and wisdom almost without seeming even to speak, and her daughter soaks it all in like a sponge. She still doesn't know whether she wants to be a witch-woman like her mother, or... perhaps acquire a bit of training at the Arcane Academy and fuse witchery with magecraft, or... something else that hasn't yet manifested itself as a possibility. The girl can feel her bond with Syura growing deeper, and unexpectedly, also with her father.

The rhythm and routine of village live is soothing to Syeha, who's been living in a nearly perpetual state of excitement for some weeks. Neither of her parents try to talk her out of her emotions; it's enough that the teen acknowledge their reservations about the match and promise to evaluate without bias. Magically, Syeha has not progressed to the point where she can master scrying spells, but she will soon be sufficiently advanced. Honestly, she loves learning from Syura for its own sake.
