I could not figure out how to do the top half of this dress. Suggestions?

Stunning! I love how you created the texture using the teardrop shaped D'n'D piece. It looks really neat and nice. Also the colors are really beautiful. Her top looks pretty too. By using white and light grey in combination with the black outlines of the items it almost looks like shiny armor. I agree with what Yellowauthor said. To recreate the dress more accurate you could have connected the top to the skirt. But I like your interpretation :)

Beautiful!! Wow, looking at the reference picture, you captured the dress and all its shimmering sparkles perfectly! *.* The only suggestion I might be able to give you, regarding the bodice of the dress: it looks like the iridescent skirt connects to the bottom of the bodice in the reference picture ... Maybe you could have continued the skirt with drag and drop to cover the stomach more completely? Unless you meant to put your own spin on the design, and only meant suggestions in regards to
