So I've mentioned this before, but Asa is NOT well-liked as a Philia (princess) of the Whymplerian Queendom. Tensions in the cloud Queendom are ever on the rise, culminating in "the incident" which gets her arrested by the High Queen. She is beaten & her head is shaved bald; the latter demolishes both her social status & her physical health. (Kleuréan hair is very different from ours; its length holds symbolic social value, with the longest hair being reserved for those of highest status, but it also has different functions, similar to those of the Na'vi's braids from AVATAR. I'm still developing this concept, though.) She is stripped of her royal gown & thrust into the scratchy brown garment of the lowest servants before being thrown from the clouds to the planet's crystal surface below - which is expected to kill her. But she miraculously survives & is taken in by a surface-dweller, who cleans her up & embroiders her outfit. Her journey on the planet's surface has now begun... #Asa
