One of our cats is black, but she's definitely not the familiar type. The one that is practically Alex's familiar is tortoise shell, so this one of yours just feels right.

Then there would also be lots of white, the expectant mother decided, but warm white like Nest's fur... yes, she had named the cat Nest... not cold white like snow. Beyond that, though, she was at a loss. Once or twice she was tempted to cry over it, and nearly asked Ooneil to stun her until her sanity returned; obviously she had lost it. Pink was right out. No pink. Green? It was so... Candeliana. Yet, maybe a little green, or accent of red, even? Then, finally, she heard Ooneil. "It can wait."

What did have to be perfect, and Isthare surprised her husband slightly by obsessing over this, was the colors, and the textures that would come into contact with her child. For textures, soft and smooth, or soft and plushy, or soft and anything was okay. Colors bothered her. Isthare had always liked red and black and grey. Always? Had she always liked them? She couldn't recall. Ooneil preferred red and black, but also gold and pale blue. And that was... approaching acceptable, the blue.

Therefore, she sublet her flat in Amsterdam until the lease wore out, and went apartment hunting in Munich, which she considered to be enough closer in proximity to her newly adopted family to please herself, without making anyone feel that they were living in each other's pockets. Still, the place didn't have to be perfect, as its main function was to provide her with a mailing address for her cell phone bills, and other such mundane matters. But again, a small room for the baby was a must.

An entire nursery had been added to the fae dream home, and they'd considered expanding it to include a playroom for when their son or daughter grew bigger, however, the newlyweds had decided to keep their dwelling as cozy as possible, and change things as they became required. A half-fae boy or girl/Witchling would, by necessity, learn to accept magic happening all around them from a young age. With regards to Isthare's mortal world apartment, she'd decided that it no longer suited her at all.

Similar deep consideration had gone into the modifications of Isthare's and Ooneil's respective homes in preparation for the arrival of their child. As for Isthare's quarters in Ankanas, a cradle had been set up in the bedroom, but that was the only real addition, and even that the couple didn't plan to use except possibly if Isthare and the baby were too tired to travel on further to Ooneil's fae dream home some time. The Witch stayed rarely in the city of the Nemesis Sisters, the Llylu, never.
