Polyhymnia (or Polymnia) was in Greek mythology the Muse of sacred poetry, sacred hymn, sacred dance, and eloquence as well as agriculture and pantomime. Her name comes from the Greek words "poly" meaning "many" and "hymnos", which means "praise". She is depicted as very serious, pensive and meditative, and often holding a finger to her mouth, dressed in a long cloak and veil and resting her elbow on a pillar. Polyhymnia is also sometimes credited as being the Muse of geometry and meditation.
I have represented her in a relatively simple white chiton, also reminiscent of a choir robe (if they came without sleeves). Above her are the opening bars to "Amazing Grace". Behind her is a Rose Window such as are found in many places of worship. Beneath her is the Sutton Movement Writing for several dance positions, although I had no room for true choreography.
