components of the culture/personality/background of the character. for example, for the goddesses of the city of black stone, i looked at celtic, greek, and japanese names (b/c you said those cultures inspired COBS) with meanings behind them that matched up with my characters, and then stole parts of them until the name sounded right lol. same with ledi'ia, the first part of her name is inspired by the swan leda in greek mythology, and the second part "ia" is a common suffix in the (cont)

@Pearls here's my formula for choosing a name! basically, what i do is think about character traits. what's their personality? what culture do they come from? what would their parents have named them and why? i also take into account the world they live in--is it a roman inspired dystopia? is it an asiastic steampunk world? modern day? then i looking on baby name websites (lol) or wikipedia and match the names with certain aspects. i normally mash up two or more names that each have (cont)

@TNL thanks so much! i did the eyes by making an outline with the pen tool, then using a set of black-fuzzy-circles followed the outline of the eyes so the fuzzy parts stuck out in a lash-like shape, then i put the white layer+iris+pupil over. hope that helps!
