test saves but I often save after a few hours of work and with my comp the way it is, I've been losing things after like an hour qnq I'm going to keep the popular makers thing in mind tho cause that's a good point ;3; Thank you all~ <3

My laptop just literally shuts down randomly. I'll adjust it on my lap & BOOM, it goes black--instant shutoff. I looked it up & it seems to be a hardware issue so I'm going to take it in to get fixed. It's just annoying cause it used to happen before (rarely) but not nearly as often as it does now qnq Like ANY slight movement turns it off. >< @Dollie: That's pretty much how I feel, lol. Actually I used to use Chrome all the time but sometime last week, after I came back from my trip, it just stopped working. Like the whole program just kept crashing on me (even if I had one tab open--it started off as crashing every hour or so and then moved to the second after opening the web browser) so now I'm on Firefox. I don't have many tabs open when I do work on a doll (usually like DD, YT, FB, & pinterest), but I think it's my laptop cause the program itself doesn't crash [contd]

@Glass: I should probably do that honestly. Taking my mind off of it for a bit would probably help with the sanity, lol xD @Helio: I struggled with same thing. I've been struggling with inspiration for awhile & Idk how many times I started on a doll for the last round of DDMCC (the on skin option) only to lose it after a few hours. I've thought about editing before but I don't have an editing program & Idk any good ones (if you have any suggestions, lemme know, lol). [contd]

This is pretty, the colors and patterns. What I do is make test saves as I work on a doll, to make sure there is no flash crashes. And work on one doll at a time. Limit the number of tabs open. Also, I avoid the popular makers in early evening when a lot of people are on them and that can cause flash crashes. I hope you have better luck!

Losing dolls sucks. If we're being entirely honest, usually I just give up ^^; (if it's a DDNTM, I'll usually go for something entirely different then what I was doing before so that it's a fresh new idea and I'm not just tiredly redoing a doll because usually the second version turns out far worse than the first.)

it might be because you have too many tabs or windows open. I have that same (frustrating!) problem on Chrome, even when I don't have *that* much open; it can be managed by limiting the amount of tabs you have open while dolling, and only having one game open at a time. If your computer starts slowing down/lagging, it's best to hurry and close all non-doll tabs right away, although sometimes it's too late by then. Hope I could help <3

Also, for the request dolls, would it be possible for you to take a WIP you saved (which you should really be doing!), finish the missing parts on another doll, and splice the two images together in an editing program? I've found that most of the time, people really don't mind that; but I understand if you don't want to or cannot do that. Also, how are you losing the dolls? If it's due to your computer or flash crashing/running out of memory, (continued)

It actually worked really well! I "caught up" to my progress on the first doll in only a fraction of the time it took to originally make it, partially because I wasn't having to spend time coming up with ideas and "figuring things out", and just had to focus on placing the D&D, and partially because of how much I was putting my mind to it. Seeing the thumbnail of this instantly made me happy <3 Not so much the description...:( *Hugs* One time, a few weeks ago, I lost one of my DDMCC dolls (which I'd been fighting doll block and the impending deadline on), and I basically...snapped XD and just opened the game again, put aside all distractions including closing other computer tabs, and just *powered through* recreating the doll exactly as it had been. Oh no I'm sorry to hear about all of the dolls you've lost *hugs* That's no fun D: I'm sure it varies from person to person, but after I lose I doll, I usually step back from either my computer or anything with flash and sit down and enjoy some leisure activity, like gaming or art or even theme coding if I'm up 4 it. When it comes to keeping inspiration I usually always am browsing either pinterest or some aesthetic blog from tumblr, even the games I play can be a source of inspiration ;w;
