Chinese?! You know I don't think I know any Chinese people like in the real world. Only Taiwanese, Korean, and of course Japanese. I deffinatley gots to make you a doll then! I haven't make a gift for you yet but i've wanted to for a while & I haven't made a Chinese doll yet so it'll be fun. cx (lol, sorry Pearl that were like getting off topic and taking attention away from your glorious doll. I'll stop now. cx)
Gosh, night life and pearl! I though both of you are Asian at first! Especially you Pearl, I thought you are Japanese cause you're just too knowledgeable about geisha culture, both of you are amazing! I'm an Asian btw. Oh and this doll! I just love the fresh clean colours and the pattern on the kimono!
Thank you! :D &Yeah they are really different, especially the foods, lol. And I learned to embrace it by learning more about it. Like a few years ago my dad told me to watch this movie called "The Last Samurai" and I was like "do I have to" and he's all like "it'll be good" and I cried through some parts and sort of felt this connection that i can't really explain (Not that i didn't have connection with my other half of my family before that, it just became stonger after.) Like the same connection I feel when I hear my mom speaking Spanish, while i'm trying to figure out bits and pieces of what she's saying, or the memories of me dancing to Tejano, Mexican Polka, or Mariachi music with my grandpa. And I really wanted to know more about the other side which ended up being fasinating cx. But it wasn't like before I never wanted or interacted with my dad's family because I did, I've always loved them all & never diconected with them just becouse I didn't like being half. But now I quite proud of my races. c:
I've read your post on the forum and kinda understand being a loner but i was never discriminated for my race in Switzerland where everybody is super polite and politically correct. Kids can be bastards, i know, i was one myself ;D But how did you learn to embrace your cultures? Mexican and Japanese cultures must be so different, you have a very special background!
&Yeah I'd love to go to Mexico but my grandma says it's not safe yet so Zapata, Laredo is as close as it gets. It's a boarder town between Mexico & U.S. You can litteraly see the mountains of Mexico sitting across the boarder where some people do their fishing! :D and I got family there in Laredo, so I just gotta be patient.
Yes i'm half asian, Japanese that is (thats probably why I love making geisha dolls), and the other half is Mexican. So that's why my dad wants to take me to Japan, he's Japanese and I wanna learn more about his culture. You see, i've only been intrested in my other half since like 2 years ago because before I REALLY didn't like being half asian, like A ALL! I actually explained the reason behind it on the forum here's a link if you want to read it: httpdolldivineforum.proboards.com/thread/1726/frozen
I have never been to Japan but i want to go one day and maybe see a real Maiko perform... Isn't Mexico just around the corner for you? I have seen some Mexican themed dolls in your gallery, would you like to go to Mexico one day? I heard it's one of those countries that changes your view on life... You look a little Asian though, maybe Phillipina? Sorry if i'm way off :3
Born in Brazil & raised in Switzerland?! Dude that's awesome. I was just born and raised in Texas and have never been to Japan or Mexico...or really out of Texas, lol. But my dad really wants us to go to Japan for my birthday. Have you been there?
