I agree with Saralyn; what an epic tale! I love how the Lady of the Lake will occasionally take on Vivienne's likeness in her memory <3 How tragic and sweet!

Beautiful, glorious, and tragic!! It is indeed an epic tale! And Vivienne is one of my favorites, along with Morgana and Elaine! She looks strong in facing a storm of her own making, even though it ultimately grows beyond her power! Lovely!

However, she warned Vivienne her power would be too great for her. But Vivienne had made up her mind, so the Lady of the Lake granted her wish. With the great Fae's power, Vivienne trapped Merlin in a stone cave, only to collapse after her part was done. Vivienne's mortal body gave way to the Lady's great power. The Lady of the Lake freed Vivienne from the suffering of the world, but retained part of her life force and memory.

She had misunderstood her aunt's intention, Morgana was hoping her niece would find peace in Camelot, but Vivienne thought she was sent back for revenge. Before the battle of Camlann, Vivienne tried to stop Merlin from coming to Arthur's aid, but found her power no match for the wizard. So Vivienne called upon the Lady of the Lake, begging the Fae to grant her power. The Lady of the Lake, displeased by Merlin's support in Arthur's quest for the grail, intended to punish the wizard.

However, when Mordred took the authority from Morgana, he gradually saw Vivienne as a competitor and threat. Morgana fearing for her safety, sent Vivienne away, and secretly suggested her to go to Camelot. So Vivienne turned herself up to Camelot, she was put under the custody of Merlin, who gradually became her mentor. Vivienne stayed neutral for a while, but the fire of hatred never died down in her heart.

Soon after, the beast caught up and attacked Vivienne. Fortunately Morgana showed up in time, she killed the beast and saved Vivienne. In Morgana's arms, Vivienne busted into tears, how can she hate her aunt, who raised her like a mother? Eventually Vivienne returned to Morgana's side, and shifted her hatred and frustration towards Merlin and the Knights of Camelot, aiding Morgana in many battles and quests.
