You can still see the complicity of her character reflected in modern and popular retells, as she constantly fights against Arthur, but still sails him to Avalon in the end.

Two, a reference to her stereotypical role of an 'evil' queen, a reflection of the darkness that troubled her mind, and all the pain and damage she caused. Three, as shadow is something between light and darkness, it symbolises her as a misunderstood character. In earlier Arthurian legends, Morgana assembled the role of a benevolent healer or fairy queen, but later her independence as a woman was twisted into evil and dangerous.

Personally, Morgana is my favourite of the sisters, she has a rich and complicated inner world, and remains strange against all of her hardship, in the end, is able to overcome her anger and hatred and chooses to embrace her family. The name Moreganeth was chosen out of couple of reason, for one, a reference to Morrigan, the Irish goddess thought to be an archetype of Morgana's character

Thank you so much! @Saralyn: I'm so happy you like my story, and yes you are completely right! The sisters are technically witches! Witches in a broader sense are daughters of Faes and mortal men. All of them had contact with and are recognised by the witches' sisterhood. In fact accounts regarding the Morgause, Elaine and Morgana can still be found in Bethynas, witches' city, today.

sister in a tragic accident in a fit of strong emotion ... Her sister sacrifices herself to save another ... Totally love it!! Also, I find Morgana's fae name intriguing; does "Queen of Shadows" refer to her troubled/dark history, or is it a subtle reference to the shadowy ash that flames leave behind? Or perhaps both? Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful tale! ^^

What a magical, tragic tale! Full of rich history & lore, complicated family ties, love & loss ... Magnificent! I'm so in love with Morgana's character design, too *.* The dangerous & tortured queen of flames, resplendent in her fiery red-orange attire <3 Now that I think of it, she reminds me a bit of Elsa! A tortured past caused by a lack of control of her powers, full of fear & unable to control her ability, ultimately regains her powers in a burst of triumphant courage, only to kill her

Beautiful and terrible, hauntingly sad and proud... I love your story! And this doll is a perfect Morgana, poor tortured soul and powerful beyond description fae woman! I also notice that all 3 of the sisters have reddish hair... like witches?

The grand finale of my take on the Arthurian legends. A bitter-sweet tale of love, hatred, schemes, intrigues, mistakes and redemption. One day I will write the story in details, but for now, I'm still lost in the bitter-sweetness, and the sadness of the story. I'll get couple of more characters done these days, and tried to expend the story a bit more. Thank you for reading, and hope you enjoy the tale.

A boat was waiting on its shore, sent by the Lady of the Lake. Three ladies were waiting on the boat, Alwyn, Morgause and Elaine. Morgana placed Arthur on the boat and the three sailed him to Avalon. Morgana stayed in the mortal realm until the end days of Anna, then she herself returned to Avalon as well.

She warned her half brother about Guinevere, even tried to talked Mordred out of his claim of Camelot. But Fate is the ultimate designer. What was destined to happen, happened. After the irreversible final battle of Camlann, Morgana freed Merlin from the stone cave he was trapped in, together they recovered the bodies of Mordred and Guinevere from the battle field, Merlin buried the two, while Morgana carried the mortally wounded Arthur to a lake.
